And there is a one, a couple of twos and a six on the barcodes, if that ties in with the .:i.

And in response to sMooTH WuN, I meant no offense either.

We don't receive any OOG letters to go with this stuff. We give you scans of everything we receive. We do not take directives from PMs to post this stuff. They send it to us because we like the genre, and will post these trailheads so that people can play them. That's about the extent of it. I personally don't particularly care for the suggestion that we're holding more information than we are about the game or the PM - it doesn't bode well for the trust we try to build on the forums between the players.

It's pretty standard for UF and other ARG sites to get trailheads sent to them. I don't think I've ever received one that came with instructions on what to do with it.

I'm wondering...why barcodes unless to be scanned somehow. Could it not of been paper w/ numbers and stars? Or was it a barcode just to make it more interesting than random numbers on paper.

I kinda want to know why the one with the numbers matches the one with the lines. (They're the same numbers, right?) Why'd we need both? And what's with the stars? The stars are weird. What kind of barcode scanner reads stars?

The stars are a riddle, but I think the mayan code was to let us know a mayan connection...
Dunno if you can scan it with the stars....
Or why they're stickers....

first off, even if you did recieve an OOG note, it wouldnt be considered "holding information back" if it doesnt pertain to the IG material.

I realize what you are saying but when i said it, i said it hypotheticly in response to another persons speculation. I in no way claimed to KNOW SpaceBass had an OOG note. That little hypothetical comment got blown way out of proportion. The way I posted it, i didnt claim to know. If you read the post, i said he COULD have... doesnt mean he did.

I do no claim to know the inner workings of the UF Administrators. I do not claim to know what you do and do not recieve. I feel like you almost expect me to know that you dont recieve it, yet theres no way to predict if John Doe from Idaho is going to send you a trailhead tomorrow and HAPPEN to add an OOG letter/sidenote.

Theres no way for me to tell if that would happen. Like i said, its all hypothetical.

Again ill say it, i meant to offense by it. Just trying to respond to another persons speculation thats all.

EDIT: To everyone else trying to still determine clues, I appologize for you having to read all of this. Just had to clarify my standpoint...anyways...game on..

The stickers.... Are they still on the plastic back adhesive sheet or on regular paper? maybe there is something behind them?

IDK, just grasping for a lead

I didn't mean to come down on you and I'm sorry if there was some frustration in my post, it's just that speculation can get so wildly out of control so easily and people start to run off with assmptions based on assumptions based on assumptions...

As I said before, mailing stuff to community members in general, and Spacebass/Unfiction specifically, has been numerous times before and the usual routine is, scan/photograph everything that is sent to you so that you can share it with others. Check out, for example, the trailhead posts for Ilovebees (see the Unfiction archives) to see how previous games were kicked off.

I think we should concentrate on the letter(s), it's content and the barcodes, because there's obviously a message there we're not yet getting.

Still on the plastic back adhesive sheet, with perforations between each of them. It looks like it was probably on a roll, not a flat sheet. Brownie

That could mean that there are a LOT more....

And of course everything I say is hypothetical. I don't just jump to conclusions....

i completely understand, people definitely do take things out of context and somewhere along the line, start thinking its fact.

The Philoshipher

Checked this one because of a link in the locked thread that The Philoshipher started. I'm intrigued to find out where it's going, but don't really have any suggestions for cracking it yet.

I wouldn't worry about The Philoshipher. I think he followed a link in the tradecraftjournal thread to the Despoiler page and found the images SpaceBass posted. He mistakenly thought they were related to the TCJ game and probably meant to post the pictures there.

They may have been printed off a roll of blank adhesive labels. I used to print lables all day when I work in shipping and receiving.

However, that does mean there could be more or more to come.

So what do the stars mean?

I was thinking maybe knots in a thread? or possibly musical notes?

Also, the bar codes on the right have a black line running around the outside of the symbol - what does that mean?

I mean the bar codes with the Maya numbers are in a rounded box.
