It's not so far fetched that there would be more trailers, ESPECIALLY if this is indeed an ARG of JJ's doing, there have been plenty of movies with more than one trailer.

Ah, but that's not what's being debated.

At SDCC Abrams did mention a full trailer, but it seems too soon for that to be released and so far there's nothing supporting the claim that a second teaser trailer's been made with footage shot at Coney Island and put on before screenings of Stardust.

So yeah, I totally agree with you that films often end up with more then one trailer, such as The Simpsons Movie... but so far all that the 'second Cloverfield trailer' amounts to thus far is a lot of net-rumor and very little else to back it up.

If there was a trailer, some dingbat would have posted it on Youtube already.

yea thats what i thought too but if there really is a new trailer, it wouldnt be leaked yet until someone sees it in theaters and takes a crappy video of it or something. as for the wiki entry, its gone now and i can only think its b/c of not having a citation, which doenst necessary mean its fake, being that if someone saw it at an advanced screening, the only citation they have is the fact that they saw it with their own eyes, and there wouldnt be a website or some other link to verify. once stardust is in theaters then i guess this mystery will be solved Smile

I think this is a hoax. i think Stardust posted those rumors so 1-18-08 fans will flock to see their movie.

that movie blows but i might pay the $$$ to see the wonder wheel get blown up.

i actually went on the wonder wheel 2 days ago. and played skeeball. oh, fun times.

Going to go out on a limb here and say that if/when we do get a trailer with Stardust that we would probably get something with Beowulf in November as well (screenplay written by Neil Gaiman and produced by Paramount)...

you cant get a camera into an advanced screening of a movie they search you, they just did one at the movies in my town, and that is the ONLY time the new trailer was shown, that is why it is not on youtube.

Hey guys, Peter from slashfilm.com.

I called my paramount contacts today and they had no knowlege of a cloverfield trailer attached to Stardust. They assured me that if it was attached to stardust, they would know about it. But I'm not sure I can trust the studio.

I remember when the first teaser was shown at a press screening the week before July 4th, one of my journalist firends contacted a publicty person at Paramount asking about the trailer. The PR person responded "what trailer? Smile". So from the begining they have been told not to speak about the project.

But I'm guessing that if there was a cloverfield trailer on Stardust, they would have done a better job about leaking information about the trailer to pump up the box office. Stardust is tracking kinda low. I saw it a couple weeks back and can't reccomend it.

Peter

2nd trailer

they will probably make a 2nd trailer after they are done filming because IMO making a 2nd trailer now would shorten their budget and cost more time , maybe we'll have to wait till filming's over

Do any of you at all recall offhand the source that was saying there is a 2nd trailer scheduled to come out August 18, and then more commercially sometime in November. I know that I specifically saw it from UF a link on one of the gazillion posts but at this point which thread it would be in no telling. When I read it, I had decided that I'd tentatively accept it at face value and see....and if a trailer does show up at all beginning Aug 18 then the source would be credible and so would the other info they provided along with it. So that's kinda what I've been waiting for to see what happens. And we're getting closer to the 18th.

But if so, I'd reeeeallly like to find that source again since it would've proven itself at least one good time to be credible....which comes in handy in this one it seems.
