[NEW] Movie poster *spoiler maybe?* Hi all,
First time post here. I just wanted to let you know about something I saw at a warehouse sale called Frank & Son's here in Southern California. Basically they sell collectible stuff like cards, comics, toys, etc. It is like a mini convention hall every wed and saturday.
Anyway, I was at a large booth where they sell movie posters. One of the posters there had a snapshot of the statue of liberty overlooking the city of new york. The statue was missing it's head and at the top in large white letters it said "Monstrous". The lower right corner had in smaller white letters, 1-18-08.
Fake? I dunno but that is what I saw. I also snapped some cell phone pics and if possible i'll try to upload them.
If this was already mentioned before I'm so sorry as I know people love to jump all over others when they repost.

That is my guest post above. I'll upload shortly.
Please excuse the quality on these pics. It was a Motorola V3 phone and my hand was not exactly steady.

Maybe you, or someone else, can return to that location and get us a higher res photo?

If I go back there I will but I don't anticipate it. It is only open on Wed and Saturday. There really is no reason to anyway. I mean you can read the top and you get the "gist" of the photo
If I go this Saturday I will take a pic though with a real camera.
If someone else wants to go there that would be cool too. It was this place http://www.fs-collectibles.com/ which is in City of Industry.

Excellent. I'll see if I can't dig up anything at work tomorrow, since our shop has a few good ties with some of the film stores in the area as well. I'd kill for one of those posters right now and will definitely pick one up later when they're released. They just look grand.

I believe the lady was charging $20 for these. I considered getting one, but I had spent a pretty penny already.

i would say this is significant except that i can't see the date on the bottom of the poster. also, can't find a website associated with "monstrous." but definitely, thank you for finding this!

Believe me, the date is there. The picture should be signficant enough I think. I mean what other upcoming movie have we seen that obviously contains a scene of a headless Liberty.
But like I said if I go again I will definitely snap a good photo. Although, I have a feeling now someone out there is planning a trip for opening time this Wednesday :-p

This information was also posted under the Talk Back section on AICN early this morning. The party rambling the title however had no pictures to back it up. Personally I like 1-18-08 better than "Monstrous" =P

If this is real, you passed up a huge profit. I'd have bought ten and put nine on ebay in a NY minute. However, it's way to blurry to tell; it also could be a mock-up someone did just to capitalize on the phenomenon. W/o the actual product, no way to tell.

Maybe. Since the movie hasn't officially been announced with a real title I don't know how often 1-18-08 gets searched for on ebay.
