Unfiction Winners

Thanks Katygmorris! I agree wholeheartedly. Congrats to all the unfiction winners! Although it would be nice for everyone to win something if this is how it is and its not going to change, I'm happy for those that won multiple gifts. Life is never fair but we've got lots more loot to look forward to! Smile (And Emhamm I know how you feel but don't despair I have a feeling you'll win a prize for your great video Wink )

Let's re-cap what we know so far...

First, congratulations to all of the winners...and good luck to those of you yet to get a prize...there are still plenty of chances...

And keep those videos coming! They are quite funny, and I like the creativity of all of them! It's so hard to choose my favorite!!

So, let's re-cap the story so far (maybe we can get a jump on the direction of the game play if we can all get on the same, or close, page...)

Week 1 started off with breaking into the Evidence room...We found out that Captaine Badeau lives a secret life as an art dealer, abstract mainly, but I have a feeling that she'd get whatever she could. We also learned that she liked puzzles of the Vignere variety, which led to us discovering the pass code for the evidence room.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Week 2 we learned that Bob Mumford stayed in Paris the night that SJP broke into the department store to steal the bottle of Covet...and just so happened to have some incriminating photos of our Captaine and a mystery woman...who was staying at:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Ritz

Week 3 We gained a "friend" in a Mr. Tony Flair, whose flickr page led us to the knowledge that:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Morgaine bought a new beach house in Cannes with cash from an envelope marked SZGLS

At that time we learned about M. Szaglas and her group "Power Scents" which led us to the discovery of: (week 4)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Keepers

Which led us to MIME (Guy LePan) who led us to: (Week 5)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Julian Barnesworth

Which led us to a blog that has yet to be used in the game, but we were instructed to breathe from the

Very nice summary april! I wonder if it could be pinned somehow for new players?

As far as the community; I think it is one of the big draws for ARGs. I love the game play, and also interaction with characters, but I think the best part is the sense of community that develops among the players. That is one of the measures of a good game as well. If the players have formed a tight knit group (or groups) the PMs are dong an excellent job.

That is what I see here. Including the fact that people aren't getting angry and starting a flame war. Also the fact that some of the folks who have won more than one random drawing are now talking about donating extras back. That alone speaks volumes.

Ultimately we are all having fun and that's the most important thing! Onward and upward!

you have absolutely no reason to apologize. it is frustrating to see something that seems unfair, and you are more than entitled to your opinion. i honestly do not think anyone here was offended. i think we have all shown a lot of support for each other-- winners and hopefully future winners alike.

You have the right to feel whatever you feel. I agree, it isn't fair that some people haven't gotten a "win" yet, which is why I offered (of my own free will, even) to give away my extras to even it out a bit. I didn't do it as a gesture of pity or to guilt anybody else into giving away anything they've gotten thus far, I did it for me, for my own reasons. I very rarely do anything out of guilt. In fact, I'm pretty good about *not* doing things because I feel a sense of duty or guilt. I do things because I choose to do them. It doesn't matter to me if other people sell their stuff on Ebay, or give them as the White Elephant gift at the company Christmas party (we did that one year, I got a bottle wine, that'd turned. Raspberry ), I'm doing what I want to do. End of story.

I'm having fun with this, I don't have anybody in RL (that's real life) that is even remotely interested in this game, so the simple fact that there's a group of like-minded people that validate my fun is icing on the cake.

Plus, it's good to know that all the time I spend on the internet is finally beginning to pay off... Laughing Laughing

In more ways than one... Cool

Not offended

I agree w/Tatiana: I don't think folks are offended by mere discussion, so no more angst over that!!

It looks as though I have won 3 times to date (still no IPod, boo!), so at least 2 other folks can expect the gift bag whenever it arrives.

I don't mind paying for postage to forward my extra bags onto the winners from this "second chance drawing." I know I would be just as excited to have a second chance at winning if I didn't get chosen in the "first round."

This may ultimately be a moot point and everyone will win at least once. Still plenty of chances.

 oh and hai!!
Wolfhawk!

http://www.caseofthecovetedbottle.com/main.php

Try cutting and pasting this link into your browser...it takes me directly to the flash that starts off with "There are shoes...and then there are stilletos", instead of having to click on the the link from the main website, it should also give you a "Refresh" button, if it works the same way for you, as it does for me.

Of course if you refresh it starts over at the Flash, which if you click "Skip Intro" it'll take you directly to the blog.

Let's see if that gets you an update!

CONGRATS aprilapril! Very Happy

I found out I got one the drawing prizes too!! Woooo!

I won too! Challenge #3. Congratulations everyone. And thank you Paulette/April/others for all the work you did this week. I was sorry I couldn't participate actively as I was out of town. I tried to read the forum at the hotel computer and and people were breathing down my neck waiting in line for the computer (alot of men wanting to check football scores, and didn't appreciate my perfume contest). I have a feeling I wouldn't have been much help anyway as you all did such a great job on the clues this week.

please pardon my gushing just one more time...

i have never been one to have a lot of girlfriends, and no one i know has the remotest interest in what i do (eg: fashion, perfume, sarah jessica parker), so i so love having gal pals to chat with over a mutual interest.

ok, i am really done with the girly, emotional gushing now... promise.

i am a firm believer that one should have a variety of perfumes in the arsenal so as not to become too acclimated to the scent of one in particular, so here are my top faves:
creed spring flowers, sjp lovely, givenchy l'interdit, victoria's secret rapture, and i plan on adding sjp covet b/c i think it smells amazing. i do have to admit that the creed and givenchy perfumes were bought b/c of my original silver screen idol audrey hepburn-- those two were designed specifically for her. ncfriend, i bet you are sorry you asked this question now, aren't you?
