They may delay announcing the other prizes. Obviously the grand prize was time sensative so they needed to notify the winner right away. It's possible they haven't really done anything with all the other prizes yet and were focusing first on the big one.

Then why were all the weekly prizes mentioned so quickly? I'm sure they could have waited as well as the first and second prizes...

Just venting.......

In actuality it took them a long time to announce the weekly drawings considering up until the very end they had only posted the winner for 1-4. They also said that they wanted to give us something for all of our hard work while they decided the other winners.

I think we will definitely know when the second prizes are handed out! Chances are that at least one of us from the board will win.........let's all pray! Worshippy

"Dear God of sweepstakes, I know I haven't been very active, I just don't like the idea of Ed Macmahon on my doorstep, he creeps me out. But I've been really really good lately and I haven't let anyone hack into my MySpace account and post those fake "free Macy's gift card" comments. So please, have mercy on me and my friends at UnFiction. Please let one of us win the 1st prize and tons of us win second prizes (especially those of us not graced with a gift bag as of yet) and not some lamewad who doesn't care at all about the game or the lifestlye we took on over the past tens weeks. Thank you, and amen"

Hey everyone...if you click on that "winner" you can get a link to her website...

enjoy!!!

She plays and enters sweepstakes *all* the time.

Oh bother.

She is one of the people that enters everything in the hopes that she will win something! I think that the point of the game was to get into the story line.........I think that to be entered in the final prize you should have participated in the challenges every week!

That would have been logical and I guess the implication was in the rules. Heck, each of us could have loaded the game by creating players using our mates' names, kids' names, cats' names, etc. I hope at least some of unfiction forum members win some good stuff.

When there was that weird virus thing I actually created another account using another e-mail address just to test how much of the website was working since we couldn't log in. The little devil on my shoulder told me I could re-enter all of the answers and have another shot at winning something. However the little angel on the other side told me that if I did win something with that account I wouldn't be able to face you all here or be as proud of my winnings. So I created it and never filled in any of the answers. But yes, we could have done that, and I'm sure some people out there did.

We are much better than that!! I am very proud of you for not giving in to temptation. I have to admit that I considered entering my husband in hopes of him winning me something! I didn't.........but I thought about it.

Very disappointing. We all knew that the game was run kind of odd when the drawings kept bringing up the same names. As someone who works at a magazine, these things aren't as "official" as you would believe. Look at the bright side, there have been a lot of unfiction users that have won. And people that enter contests all the time for the sake of entering them (and not enjoying them...copying and pasting answers), they're wasting their time. At least I did it as "stress relief."

I got a pint of Ben and Jerry's. You shared your Hershey bar, so I feel I must return the favor. Wanna bite?

LOL. The child in me wants to do the same!! It is weird to me that when they drew her name, did they not realize they didn't recognize it b/c she hadn't been playing? It seemed as tho they were following the players somewhat closely and the board here as well.

BTW-I had nothing to do w/getting drawn 6 times! Anyone who knows me knows my life is like Pigpen in the comics w/a big black cloud over my head. I have the worst luck!! I rather hate all the karma I had been saving to win something life-changing got used up, tho!! Anyway, when this is over, I'll join in the second chance drawing; at least there'll be 5 more gift bags available!!
