Well isn't this cute.

MySpace just alerted me that on November 13th it will be Madame Szaglas's Birthday! I think we should all wish her a happy one on that day!

The folks at Coty were really nice. They picked my friend and I up at the hotel on Thursday evening and we rode over to LuckyShops with them. I didn't meet Sarah Jessica Parker. I don't think she was even there. However, I did catch a glimpse of Buffy, Sara Michelle Geller, and I snapped a photo of her. I didn't go up and try to talk to her; I'm a wimp that way!

My friend and I both got the Lucky VIP gift bags with tons of great shampoos, scrubs, perfumes, lotions and some really cute things like key rings, a rubber ducky, and a couple of shirts that are too small for me but will make great Christmas gifts. Most of the "heavily discounted" clothing and jewelry at the event was still priced too high for me; what I could afford was for young, thin girls, not for a heavyset mature woman! LOL!

They put us up in the Kimberly Hotel ($380 a night!!!) on 50th, which was within walking distance of Times Square. We took in three shows and did some shopping. Unfortunately, it rained on Friday and Saturday, which made it a little less conducive to sight-seeing, but we had a great time anyway. My friend's been going through a rough time personally lately, so I was so happy to be able to give her a nice trip to boost her morale.

The check is supposedly in the mail; Coty said Thursday that it was being mailed on Friday; it didn't arrive today. I guess I assumed it would be sent some way that delivery could be tracked, but maybe not.

Here are a couple of pictures. On the left is me by one of the Lucky Magazine covers on display. On the right is the cover model, Sarah Michelle Gellar. I didn't get close enough to say hello or get a picture with her (she was always surrounded by people), but it was cool to be in the same room with Buffy!

Where did u find this on the OLS site? Thanks

OMG!! If I had won this prize plus $10000 I would have marched my ass into Chanel and would have purchased a classic boucle suit...she is such a frugal frump!!! What a waste.

Covet Second Chance Drawing

2 days left to register for second chance drawing for Covet gift bags. Please see page 194 for details.

Here are the folks who registered for the Covet Second Chance drawing so far. Hope Covet doesn't sue me for trademark violation (HA). If there is a user here who was not in play before 10/15, please PM me. Good luck all. 4 days until drawing, be sure to register, see p. 194 for details.

She Who cannot be named

I also read she was told she would get thousands in gift cards when she arrived in NYC. U bet I would have been in there buying!! How often do I get to go home? I would have paid to extend my ticket, found a cheaper hotel, and had myself a full-blown vacation!!

Seriously! What is the point of winning lots of stuff if you are just going to be practical about it?

I check this board daily, but never post, until I signed up.

I've been checking in recently every day. Just finished Juan Ramon. What's up?

Thanks

Thanks for responding. I don't have another game going, so no other boards. I'm just curious as to what everyone's doing while we wait for our gifts. Maybe it might be fun for each of us to create a challenge and post it for others to solve. That way we keep our skills sharp for when the next challenge comes along. Anyone want to try or is this a lame idea? I just miss having some crazy challenge to do to keep me from sleeping!!

I still check in - I just finished the Ramon game too - it was nuts.

I just like to check in and see how the second chance drawing is going for those that didn't win anything.

Sounds like a great idea!
Have you checked out the other games here...

... on the site. Friends told me about the game Xmarks the spot, cool game, another is "what is this movie" - "what is this game' ?? Was playing Red-Monday (but being on call I have gotten behind on it and the other game prauge files). Somebody throw out some ideas! LOL, I can get a bunch of the games and puzzles we played in GOLD RUSH to sharpend up on some skills, as well as some real cipher and heiroglyphic code breaking games and puzzles from JT400 if anyone is interested. Very Happy
