One of the articles/headlines from the last challenge, Szaglas prefaced it with "I received this from a nice lady in Nice."

Not sure who that is though....

This is exactly what she wrote in Power Scents:

Nice woman from Nice sented me this one.

Nice and Cannes, and the perfume town of Grasse, are all very close to each other on the French Riviera...perhaps Morgaine?

Interesting that Barnesworth's hometown is Bath...that is where Ersebet's husband is from (who I also believe is Keja-Lilli's brother)....

solution

I didn't think that the linkedin was correct at first, since it was a pay site, so spent alot of time looking. Thanks for keeping with it to find the public site.

i have been to bath-- not very big, so i would think that people from that town would all know each other-- i also think it is more of an affluent area as bath used to be a resort... once again, just throwing random tidbits out there

Barnes K
Location In Question

Did anyone else notice that M. Szaglas says that Barnes K. is located in Paris, FR where she is a "Fragrance Archivist" yet the Linked In profile says that it is in the UK? I wonder why there is a difference?

ok, i have two schools of thought on this one:
1. just the company was located in france b/c of the reputation of the french and perfumes, and jb still lived in the uk

2. if you still want to play with the idea that the hungarian kovacs has something to do with the company barnes k, then france is situated nicely between the uk and hungary (more or less)

that's all i got...

Keja-Lilli

Paulette: I know you mentioned WAY earlier (like on Aug 7th) that Keja-Lilli was Ersbet's sister-in-law...but how did you come to that conclusion?

Well Keja-Lilli's myspace page made me think that because under her general interests/movies she writes:

I rarely see films, but did enjoy "Hot Fuzz" quite a bit.Very amusing. My brother believes it was due to the background images of our home region laced throughout.Somerset,England. Such a serene place to grow up.

Bath is located in Somerset, England

And Keja-Lilli also mentions in her blog:

I'm pleased to announce a pending vacation. My Lover thinks I am in dire need of another visit to the Ottó Herman Museum. While it is something we both do enjoy, the convience of the museum's proximity to my baby brother and his wife are the main selling points. I hope to find something for my collection as well. His wife has boasted a new, well informed buyer since early this month. I do hope she shares.

The Otto Herman Museum is in Budapest and that is close to where Eresbet and her English husband live. Eresbet is an artitst who more than likely is in contact with Morgaine "Art Dealer" Belaso/Badeau.

Wow!

That all makes sense, Paulette. I saw the info on her page about where she was vacationing, etc., and I was sure she had something to do with the game, but I hadn't put all of that together yet. I had in my notes that you mentioned her connection with Ersbet earlier, but I never could trace that.

Thank you! I know this and the blogspot page will be very important and soon.

On blogspot, I'm more interested in who The Matron is and if B.K. is Barnes K. and exactly who he is. I'd also like to know who "James" is.

Thanks everyone for hanging in there on this one...what a mess!:

-the sound file not available at times
-the LinkIn page showing private/ not private, etc...

Whew!

insight

Please excuse my ignorance but could someone tell me how to get the private barnes k site to show public? I have been there for a long time, I refresh, etc. but still it doesn't come up with the public site noted here. I haven't found the FAQ section. So the only way I could find JB was to type in his whole name or use the link here. Thanks.

LinkedIn site

it's under a "spolier": a reddish block that when you scroll your mouse over it it reveals hidden text. You'll see it.
