Along those lines, maybe "What do you know about Russ's father?"

Hello you beautiful ppl I have been out for a few weeks (more on why later).. but always lurking.

New puzzle here:) Excitement.
Here are my ideas:
One "Did you kill Sue?" is not a good question because maybe he didn't. and it can be answered with a "No."

More along the lines of "What all do you know about Sue Heart?" Would give us more information, and more to work with.

Question two: "What were you doing those two months you were not in contact with your family before you were taken?" gives us more of a time line because we are almost certain Eric was messin with Sue.

and lastly Question three: "Who is Russ?"

That would give us the most information.

Ok now why I haven't been around.. well that is simple..

I AM PREGNANT!!!! My husband and I are expecting our number two:) Smile

Yes congratulations blessedmercy, that's amazing news.

To whoever posted (i'm too lazy to go back and check) that we all want the same information, the way that we ask the questions is what matters, I agree. Someone also said we shouldn't ask yes/no questions, and I think that makes a lot of sense too.

I like the question of what Eric was doing the month before the kidnapping. What was his job, who was he seeing, that sort of information may be vital.

I also like Llama's question about the shovel. That is Eric in that video, and to the best that I can ascertain, that is a shovel. So what was he doing with it?

I know we can't expect Eric to incriminate himself, but after over half-a-year of incarceration he might be desperate enough to tell the truth.

(It's only been 10 months Razz ) EDIT: Oops!! Thought you wrote a year & a half...sorry 'bout that!

As has been stated before, I don't think we should worry about Eric lying when we decide on our questions. Plus, CM knows the truth...& who knows? If E lies, we might see a new beatdown! Or, some new code to tell us what he lied about...whatever, I don't think that the CM would allow us to be led astray because of E telling lies. CM "knows". Twisted Evil

I absolutely agree as well that we need to ask open-ended q's, not Yes/No, but we need to be clever w/ our wording, because a question that would include "What was going on in your life in the couple of months before your kidnapping? Such as, work, relationship, etc." is multi-faceted when worded that way, & may count as 2 q's right there! Shocked

EDIT: I'd prefer that we leave out the additional "Such as..." parts & leave it open & general.

Perhaps "What do you know about Russ' biological father?" may be broad enough to get more info than just a name!

EDIT: I mean in addition to a name...

What if he doesn't know who Russ's biological father is. He might not even know that there is a Russ. Most women who are commiting the act of adultery aren't really keen on having their children around when they are doing the dirty.

I am just not so certain with that question.

We have to really think... What does Eric know what information would he absolutely have...

Like he obviously knows who Sue Heart is...he obviously knows what he was doing those two months that he was not in contact with his parents...
We have to make sure we ask questions Eric can answer.

Perhaps if we worded it like this: "What was everything and everyone involved in your life for the two months prior to your kidnapping?" And also, "What all do you know about Russ and his biological father?" And finally, "What is the extent of your knowledge of Sue Hart?"

I know it's redundant, but I'm trying to throw out more ways to say our questions so we can get what we want. But, I think these seem to be the main subjects we're narrowed down to:

Eric's life before the kidnapping
Eric's relationship with Sue
Eric's connection to Russ
Eric's knowledge of Russ and his dad
What Eric did with the shovel
Why did Eric say "Oh God Sue, I'm so sorry"
Why did Eric say "Relax, no one knows about this" (Which I personally think is Sue freaking out because she knew CM knew and that he's crazy)

And blessed, we believe that Eric spoke to Russ in the Affair video, and if that were so, Eric must have known Russ somehow.

im not exactly sure which video it was, but at the end of the video, we hear Eric say "Relax, no one knows about this", and then we see the CM's face (mask) up close in the camera (in what appears to be Eric's apartment) and the words "I know" are then shown. This is obviously a response to Eric's comment to Sue..

This is pretty obvious why this was all said.. so I think we should avoid asking questions relating to this. Also, I believe we should stay away from the questuon: "What did 'Oh god sue im so sorry' mean?" <-- This question could be answered by us asking Eric what he knew about Sue. Even if he didn't kill her, he would most likely tell us she is dead.

As for Russ.. even if we knew the name of his father, where could it lead us? (If he is the CM, i doubt the CM will allow him to answer this).. Im just unclear as to how knowing who fathered Russ could help Eric...

We do need to find out the family structure (Pedigree) and how everyone is connected. The problem is, do we take a chance asking Eric, when we arent sure if he even knows? I think we should remain safe with the questions...

We should stick to the questions that could cover as many bases as possible. The best questions I've seen so far are:

"What happened in your life in the few months before your kidnapping?"

"Could you tell us absolutely everything you know about Sue?"

there are more to come.. but those seem to be two that I personally think should be etched in stone... anyone agree?

I agree, Smooth, although I would word the question about Sue a bit differently because he could simply answer "Yes, I could," and that would actually satisfy what's being asked. I would ask it more like, "What all do you know about Sue Hart?"
