Addition to OOG list

I was checking some websites to see if they were IG or not and I tried http://www.01182008.com and saw some stuff yet when I came here I saw it wasn't listed as IG or OOG.

What made me wonder about it was that the first post on there was on July 17th and mentioned Ruth (Rob's grandma) before anyone had supposedly found Rob's Myspace account. It just might be that the blogger could have manipulated the posting date somehow, but I don't know much about that.


Can someone who is more in the know than I check this out and see if it's IG or not?

This looks like a game jack or a fansite...bit it's definitely not an "in game" site. It's not an actual site. The domain resolves to

which is the bigger give-away. It also has a graphic from a frame of the trailer, its named cloverfield project....so whatever they have in mind is an OOG sort of blog, or they really suck at game jacking. And it's on the list actually - first one.

Thanks Rose...that's waaay comforting. I so naively thought I could help corral the thread of doom. I learned my lesson.

I thought I added it already but not sure. I will add it, not as a "fake" as much as fan but it should be on the list. I have to add ganu.com to it as well.

As for ROTG - this one isn't related. No matter when it was created. Slusho is presented as a company website for a product. It does not need a splash page for any reason. Considering slusho as IG, the company behind making their site would have a splash page. They have no reason to forward to a site they already own.

Whoever got ROTG domain is having it forwarded to slusho. It doesn't matter if the code takes you anywhere else, their presentation defies the logic behind slusho's company website on its face. For example, the PMs purchased slusho.COM which resolves to another domain slusho.JP. But when .com is called there's no intermediate page because there is no need for one. They correctly secured this domain to prevent gamejacking or unrelated tie ins, and to make sure that any variation searched for the main one will ultimately lead to the slusho.jp...which is common practice.

.com is the most common one and most people would think to type in slusho.com long before slusho.jp - but with the strong japanese elements, they wanted the site to be japanese - so .com goes to .jp automatically.

.org was taken after anyone heard of slusho, and is a game jack. Or was til they got busted after 4 minutes.

This one can be considered "game jack." Nobody's going to think to type in rage of the gods if they're looking for info or a site about slusho. Slusho doesn't need a splash page and if they did, it would almost certainly be a big giant slusho cup and a walrus or something, thinking of a pink shoelace....
