D14BL0 posted this in the first page of this thread so I think that Dark Tower was an inspiration for this story. I had better refresh my memory about the book, it's been ages since I read it.

I've read the blog post now, and it's clear that Samuel's possessed by whatever is behind this. And based on what he said before R.F. hung up tells me that whatever is behind this is very, very evil.
The hands took his child.... I think that the hands, whatever they may be, are the antagonist here. The hands of the dream cop are outstretched, probably in warning about the hands, or a threat that his hands are many....
I have a feeling that R.F.'s not sick at all, now.... He's obviously not the one who saw these hands.
However, the phone call may never have happened.
I emailed Sam about the phone call.
Hope he replies....

EDIT: I just now noticed that Sam referenced a girl again that I've heard of before in these blogs/emails....
Then again I may be confusing this with another trailhead....

Hmm... maybe, but I'm not sure.
Seems like she appeared like R.F.'s truck.
Kind of reminds me of Maria in Silent Hill 2*.

*NOTE: I have no doubt that this ARG has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Silent Hill.

Without having a bunch of quotes, I'll just comment on several of the recent postings above.

1) I think it's definitely possible that the researchers themselves were the real subject of the experiment, especially given the recent comment in the blog. That sort of thing is not at all unusual in psychological experiments. The most famous of all psychological studies, the (rather disturbing) Milgram Experiment, did just that, though it's now considered unethical to do that sort of thing without a debriefing (like these guys are concerned with ethics ;p)

2) So Sam's alleged "girlfriend" is that "awful woman" that he previously referred to--she was specifically mentioned in connection with the project. If you noticed, I asked Greg whether he knew anything about Sam's gf or mom, but that question hasn't been answered yet. Sounds like she is still connected with the people behind the project and has some sort of control over Sammy or is monitoring him (though why would she allow him to have this conversation?--maybe she is another part of our friend Sam/Sammy/Samuel?).

So what to think? Could Greg, Sam, RF, the "awful woman" all be facets of a single person? Personally, while it's a tempting thought, I don't buy it. Somehow, I don't think this whole thing is about schizophrenia or multiple personalities, per se. I think something deeper, more sinister is at work. I have a couple more questions of Sammy now, and RF as well. We'll see how they respond (if at all).

I have, however, suspected that Sammy at least might be a split personality of RF--I specifically asked RF whether the police said that the phone records didn't indicate any such conversation. That would be key, of course; we'll see what he says (assuming, of course, that he ever spoke to the police at all).

Also, I mentioned to RF that this was actually the 18th "entry", not the 19th--maybe he thought there was another posting (hope my counting was correct--that would be embarassing). For him to label this the 19th entry specifically indicates that the number has some significance, I think.
