This is a reference to Cumaean Sibyl in Virgil's Aeneid ahe is also called Demophile and Deiphobe. Sibyl meaning Prophetess.

Cumaean Sibyl led Aeneid through the underworld to talk to his Father and Sibyl has another tale regarding the king of rome and burning books.

She replied with something that makes some more sense than Babelfish...:

I've had another look at the latter part of the translation with the help of an online ancient greek resource at

and I think that it might be trying to say something along the lines of

the girl of war and numitor her father and his father may have been guided by a vision by the sybil related to virgil who may have made his decernment from smoke in his chest

since the word "κoλπου" can mean bosom or chest as well as inlet, the word "που" adds uncertainty --- "possibly" or "may have", and the word "ορίστηκε", which has so far been translated as either detected or defined, is probably related to the prophesy of the sybil and thus "decernment" may be a reasonable translation.


Of course this is just guess-work as I'm not a speaker of Greek either ancient or modern, but I think it makes more sense than what we had before given the context.

I've been bothered by the word "σιτο" for a while as I couldn't fit it in with anything. However, I have just discovered that "σπηι" means cave. This is not that dissimilar to the squiggles I can see in the picture, and it would suddenly make a lot more sense, as the last bit would then come out as something along the lines of

which would fit very well with the info about The Sybil on wikipedia (referenced earlier). It would also give us a place to look for the next clue...

Yes, that would make it the

Cumaean Caves, that the Cumean Sybyl lived in. They were the entrance to the underworld.

Greetings, folks. Love these midnight shifts.

All four pictures are tarot cards (duh.), and all four depict the suit of cups. Also, they're in numerical order (ace, two, three and four).

The subject of the email is common time. WTF does that mean?

I ran the encrypted text through purplehell's old standbys- it's NOT:
cryptogram
atbash
ROT
Dvorak
Playfair with "cups" keyword
Keyword with "cups" keyword

I also ran it through the vigenere with "cups" as the key. Gibberish. But THEN I tried to run it through rail fence with 5 rails, but I can't work the webpage right to see the decrypt. Maybe I'm retarded. I've only got another 4 and a half hours to go at work... Coffee Foily!
