One of the all time truly great text adventures. If you played it before, play it again, if you've never played it, you're missing out on a lot of fun.

Oh man, I remember this game. MONTHS of my life, gone, which I will never be able to get back. Fun, in an evil sort of way.

Nooooooo!!
I seem to remember being stuck trying to get a babelfish in my ear for some reason.
Nasty, nasty puzzles.
I loved it.

Thanks to Lazarus for reminding me that these games exist. For those, like me, who LOVED these games back in the day, I've found a collection of all the games at http://infocom.elsewhere.org/ . I believe there is a save feature at this site. Enjoy!

Well, I'm lost. I know I'm supposed to lay in front of the bulldozer ala Arthur Dent, but it doesn't work!
Never mind, wrong wording.

Thanks for digging up this thread Chronus, or I would never have seen it.
If anyone is having problems, this walkthrough is a good resource.
