I agree with an earlier poster, I think this is a result of multiple sounds mixing to create one total sound. The roar of Godzilla was a tiger roaring backwards mixed with the sound of a particular cello note, I think...

FWIW, I heard a long time ago that Godzilla's roar was originally created with a piece of leather rubbed on an electric bass, then manipulated. King Kong's roar (1933) was created by mixing several roars of animals with string instruments, reversed, then played forward again in a huge box (which they also thumped with tymphany mallets to mimic Kong beating his chest). All of which proves nothing, of course, other than to say that sound engineers do all sorts of things that may leave vestigial sounds when listened to more closely than intended.

BTW, what ever happened with the spectral analysis of the sounds? I thought people were onto something there with hidden text, but it apparently dropped off the radar screen with the big updates after comic-con.

That's well known, and almost surely won't play any role in this film.

Clap for the discovery

cUcKoO...!
"JJ didn't say there was a cuckoo sound, therefore......."

I don't have much of an opinion on this except, nothing is accidental...at first Slusho! was OOG....then there were others that have panned out to be relevant, it is for sure worth discussing. It's hard to believe that there is NO relevance considering all the linking factors with the Cuckoo being parasitic in nature, etc. That would just be bizarre and worth noting and being freaked out about on it's own if nothing else ever becomes of this.

I say, Great Work Kid!!!....It's people like you who work hard and believe that EVERYTHING is a clue until proven not to be, who peel away the layers and discover things that make the rest of us say, why didn't I see/hear that??

I THINK I JUST HAD A PROFOUND REVELATION:

"I saw it, it's alive, it's huge!!..."JJ said, It's a non-religious, original monster..."

Oh, my Lord....it has to be......

IT"S CTHU-CKOO !!!!

What about Ethan Haas then? Almost everyone thought it was related once but we've been shown it's not connected in the slightest. Accidents can happen with this sort of thing. Let's not forget the 'jump' in locations between the rooftop location and the street set.

But that's such a tenuous connection... True, I can't say for certain that a cuckoo isn't involved because we haven't been treated to all that much concrete info... but as has been mentioned in the past it's not like the Slusho T-shirt, or the release date which both led to those sites which are related to the viral campaign. The sound doesn't seem as deliberate as those other two.

I think emplying a smidge of skepticism is worthwhile, it's what helps us avoid making searches for things that aren't gonna lead to an answer.

I'm wondering why nobody thought to try separating the audio channels when we were analyzing this. If you listen to channels three and four (left surround and right surround) you can clearly hear that the cuckoo sound at 1:32 is just a girl sobbing.
