 		I don't think rageofthegods should be discredited. Today I found the demonscantdecipherthiscode.html page. I came to post it here, but it had already been found. And just for clarification, the hidden emssage reads "I BEG 12F Y15U, D12 N15T C12NTINUE 15R Y12U WILL BE IN GREAT DANGER!" where 12's and 15's represent O's in a pattern: 12, 15, 12, 15, 12, 15, 12.

This message and the demons page isn't only hidden in the source code. If you are on http://www.rageofthegods.com/2618792112420.html and use Ctrl+A, you'll see that the message is above the picture of the windows. Below the picture is the familiar number 666, which is a link to www.rageofthegods.com/demonscantdecipherthiscode.html.

Since I don't believe any of us here are demons, I think this is worth having a go at deciphering. Even if it's unrelated to 1-18-08, it looks like someone went through a good amount of time coding that sequence of numbers. We may have even stumbled upon a new ARG.

Let me get this straight. Rage of the gods is out of game. The makers keep updating it with fake clues to make it seem like it's real.

It's out of game for a few reasons which can be found during the thread.

1. It was found by someone who said "Hey did you see this website?" Which almost entirely makes it fake since he had no arg trail to find it.

2. It originally linked to slusho, so it's not a new ARG.

3. It was created several months before slusho, but the whois info said it had never been edited before. Therefore it is safe to assume some tampering took place.

4. The makers have shown obvious signs of being fake, such as changing back and forth between pictures on it's page in minutes changing unimportant things like adding a glare behind a sign.

5. The whois info proved of no relation to the other sites.

so.... BY FOLLOWING YOUR LOGIC 1-18-08.com because of yesterday is FALSE becuase it it in minutes kept switching from paramount to the pictures

You misunderstand the logic or are simply trying to provoque an argument. If you are intelligent you will understand what I mean.

1-18-08.com went offline and online once, there were then difficulties with some people's computers not updating. This was shown because a friend went to his friend's house and tried it, and his was offline while his friend's was online proving it was a matter of his home computer.

As for this website, the change I am reffering too is listed early in the thread where a brief glow is updated to a star symbol and then removed for no reason. A glow hardly shows a hint and was changed in 2 minutes tops. There was an update when this site went online too.

A site can change briefly back and forth, but it is often due to clumsiness from the administrator. The 1-18-08 website did infact go through some changes but it brought on an update as well as it seemed intentional as the website was specifically relocated to paramount websites while it was being updated.

I don't want to have to explain everything again, take my word for it

updating
i know that it seems to be agreed that we would go to the blogspot site for this, but that site has not been updated in quite some time and new things appear to have popped up.

there is now the message "you can chain me you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind"

also: 2 new dots have appeared deeming "recieved communication"

sorry if maybe this is a repeat, but i dont think it is.

That means it doesn't pertain to this film (Cloverfield).

Im goin to try and say this without everyone thinking of me as an ass, but all and all, i dont give a shit. This was one of the first sites looked into during the early stages (ie the week of transformers release). It has changed over and over, but always alluding to "the rat". Back in the day, it was OOG. Seemed like someone bought a sweet domain and tried to gamejack for fun. If it didnt help move the arg before, I doubt it serves a purpose now. Hear me now, ignore me...now(probably), its OOG.
