Searched forums for 1-18-08news.com stuff and turned up nothing, and searching 1-18-08 news is pointless b/c of a forum title. Also searched for info about movie posters and only turned up the thread about the MONSTROUS poster and the same image without the MONSTROUS.

The site seems pretty legit. Granted it IS just a guy who makes videos about information/updates and occasional theories. He classifies them as such though. I usually watch his videos to supplement reading the 350pg thread, and just read any new posts or threads on the forum.

In the past couple days (8/3-8/4) he's posted 3 new posters, and he's received e-mail correspondence, that he believes is reputable, from someone who worked on the set for the movie.

I guess really I'm wanting to draw everyone's attention to new posters and potentially some new information. If you've got about 5 minutes watch the video he posted 8/4 with the information he received from his "reliable source". It talks about each of the following:
"Slusho is people", "This is not a remake", "The creature is an alien", "Review the poster's single digit tear below the 4 claw marks", "Explosion in trailer came from below", "Creature's face in trailer"

Again, if this is re-hashing something, i'm sorry. I tried to search but was very un-helpful. If anything maybe this thread can morph into something helpful in tracking these topics.

 		As mentioned above, in the other thread it's already been discussed.

The posters are fake. There is no legitimate trail to track them back to a source--the 'news' site got it from a kid on Myspace who can't remember where he got it from.

Dead end, badly photoshopped=99.999999999% fake.

As for the rest of the 1-18-08News site, I've looked at several of the videos over the past few weeks, and they have already been -very- wrong.

The 'email from a legitimate source' doesn't appear to be such to me at all. Moreover, it's clear that the gentleman posting things at that site doesn't verify sources well, if at all.

So I've got no reason, so far, to believe anything at that site, and lots of reasons not to do so.

My answer--not legitimate.

i've looked over the myspace stuff and its fake.

and yes. the only source is this phantom source out of nowhere.

 		If those videos are right then this is going to be the GAYEST movie ever. You drank something so now a monster is rampaging through New York city and is after you specifically!?

Wow that would honestly be the gayest plot in a movie ever to be thought up.

God I hope he's wrong cause if he isn't then I'm definetly skippin' this.

I can photoshop movie posters and make up a person to justify and confirm any theory I make up. That video is nothing but... garbage. Pure garbage. Smile

Pfft, I could fake posters that would look a lot more legitimate then those.

Heck, the police in the fourth almost look like British police given the high-vis jackets.

A truely poor attempt to look legitimate.

It's bad enough he used the poster as evidence for something, but to say the fireball in the trailer was caused by a ruptured gas main?

I doubt even Micheal Bay could make a ruptured gas main look that impressive.

The 'headmaster' (the term is 'webmaster', you 'insider' oaf) comes of as wanting to be a big source for 1-18-08 news... and unfortunately it looks like he's willing to post shoddy news to try furfill that.
