2nd trailer??

Better question is how did wikipedia get information like that wwaayy before anything like cloverfieldnews or projectcloverfield? This is guaranteed to be fake, if not for the fact that it's wikipedia.

Well it's legit then. I sent the apple link to a friend in NY to show her the trailer and get her involved and she commented that she recognized Coney Island. I didn't catch that right off til I saw this thread. I asked and she said yeah and about a news crew...so she's hunting up the link now. I'll add it if nobody else does....soon as she pops it to me.

EDIT: For the record, I just told her about it earlier tonight and she wasn't previously aware of it, hasn't even seen transformers...but she told me about a newscrew and she recognized CI...before I even saw this post. Originally I thought they must've changed the apple trailer link for the new one but she said no, she found a link to it off of some other forum but closed out after it and went on checking out slusho, etc. She was trying to find it again. If nobody else gets to it by when she gets back to me, I'll add it here.

I thought the air date was supposed to be Aug 18.

But it's interesting that "the countdown has begun"....

This makes COMPLETE sense, I'm willing to bet that before the larger Paramount releases between now and the movie is actually in theaters, we will see more trailers for it.

Plus, even after the release of the first trailer, there have been reports of the film crew filming in the same places they were for the first trailer.

I knew this would come up, I wish I had said something sooner, my brother said he witnessed some filming on Coney on his last trip to NY, but he had no clue what it was for, he said it was a news cast, but not for news that he had seen anything about. We both blew it off as a school project, or a newscast training deal.........can't wait to see the new trailer.

the only thing i can think of is that this is for real and the user that wrote it into the wikipedia entry must have been some lucky person who saw an advanced screening for stardust...im hoping its for real b/c abrams did say there was gunna be another trailer..is anyone planning on seeing this movie stardust??

Oh, I just noticed that the apple trailer site for 1-18-08 has been revamped. And the link to goodluckchuck is still there though, why didn't they remove it?

This is a link she sent me - but not for the trailer....she found this one too....but it's at least confirming the 2nd on is ready...and meanwhile, it may well have been one of the links-off-a-link on this page that is providing the 2nd one. Not sure...but will look deeper.

Hey, that would be pretty cool if there was a new trailer out. That way people would stop looking at temperature readings on newscasts, green tea boxes, and asking "Where's GENESIS? Has anybody seen GENESIS?"

Sorry, but I have to call bullshit. The scenes filmed in Coney Island were of the kids playing and having fun. They take place before the party. No scenes of destruction and chaos were reported to be filmed there.

The article in the NY Post that reported the Coney Island filming also interviewed NY1 reporter Roma Torre, not because she was in Coney Island (she wasn't), but because she was in the first teaser.

Yes, another trailer will be released soon, but probably not for another month or two. Stardust started advanced screenings last week...if there was another teaser in front of it, Moriarty of AICN would have reported it when he posted reviews.
