As an aside, Cthulhu is an original American creation by a guy who had a massive hard-on for all things English - in his world, Cthulhu probably had a trendy SoHo accent.
This is not a Cthulhu movie, people. Or at least, if it is, it's going to be a crappy one.
Thanks for picking my post for the eyeroll. I don't happen to think it's a Cthulhu movie, nor have I ever said so.
Thanks for misinterpreting my eyeroll as having something to do with whether you think this is a Cthulhu movie. I was eye-rolling the SoHo joke. I wish there was a "sarcastic slow clap" emoticon.

he's never actually said he wanted an ORIGINAL monster, he wants a monster for us, not godzilla or king kong, an american monster.

That article looks like they are referring to the e-mail that Harry Knowles (AICN) got when they say that J.J. claims there are more sites out there.

True, but he also said he was CUTE. HE wants US to have OUR own MONSTER. When you think of a monster you do not think cute.

To be literal, he said that 1-18-08.com was the only one we had FOUND. And, again, at the time that he wrote the email, we had not found Slusho.jp. So it could have been one site, it could have been 50.

Read the rest of my responses and what I replied to in that post.
The person said "not godzilla or king kong, an american monster", construing that king kong was not an American creation. I was simply clarifying.

I agree. AICN posted JJ's e-mail on July 9th, and I *believe* Slusho.jp was found later that day.

Ah-hah! Fair enough. And I like your username, it certainly beats 'Batman4523.'

I got back to sleep for a few hours and this thread has 3 pages. pretty sweet. .
ha
anyways.
yeah I'm sure Abrams is capable (with help from Reeves and others) to make his own monster. I mean how else would you be able to carve your name forever in the history of america but to create your own monster to destroy america.
