I think it's about a giant monster attacking New York City filmed from the perspective of people with video cameras.

Man, I can't believe the amount of plagiarism that actually exists on the internet.

Here's my theory about what the movie is about:

In the beginning of the movie, we see a video camera inside of a movie theater and a really cool trailer comes on. After the movie is over a bunch of pale kids who look like they haven't left their moms basement/attic/place of your choice run back home and hop on the internet.

After about 48 hours, specifically places versions of the trailer appear online and the aforementioned nerds go nuts. They speculate that the monster heard in the trailer is everything from Godzilla to Cthulhu, and the various camps refuse to give up or believe anything else.

Rabid speculation and actions by the nerds are documented throughout the movie, all from the Unfiction forum. You see nerds calling random numbers, listening to the trailer backwards a la Led Zepplin, and spending countless hours on a website made to look like a trendy Japanese animation.

I'm telling ya, it's a great case study documentary. Just wait until you see it.
