You might consider putting [Fan art] in front of the thread's title. This will perhaps give you some credit at least.
Right now it's just ridicule.

So, walk me through this. You found an mp3 file sitting on the desktop of a computer, and you...what, plugged in your iPod and just copied it right there...?

Any reason why it's ridiculously messy, with hard amplitude clipping everywhere? I find it hard to imagine why any sound designer, even to replicate a 'last transmission', would purposely put terrible clipping like this into a sound.

Yes.
A computer inside inside one of the set buildings.
And not an iPod, a USB flash drive. a 1GB one.
Wouldn't copying an mp3 file from someone else's computer without asking be considered stealing?

Finally someone who gets it.
It's simply a bunch of randow low quality military, monster and glass breaking sounds taken from a sound library all put together in a single clip. The amplitude clipping makes it even more clear it's just some amateur work.
The original poster just tries a little too hard to convince us it's real by telling us what he tried to accomplish with this edit and giving us a nice bedtime story of how he supposedly found it. Nice try, better luck next time.
