I'm still trying to clear my schedule, so I can't make a firm commitment yet, but, as I was investigating hotels, I came across the following resource:

http://www.dailypress.com/travel/go2orlando/accommodations/go2-lodging-hightech,0,5961968.story?coll=go2-accommodations-headlines

For those of us who must be connected, this helps in choosing a hotel.

Two that are close to Universal (which seems to be a common theme, given the dislike of the mouse - no, not kona, that other mouse)

Radisson Hotel Orlando 800-843-8693
Holiday Inn & Suites Universal 800-246-8357

Just my usual helpful travel hints. Smile

I'm still planning on coming, driving. And kidnapping Sapagoo if he (and Mrs. Sapagoo) aren't looking.

One question - is Dave coming? So that we can have a proper CTW wrap party/wake?

And what about that mini-quest he promised?

Inquiring minds want to know!

ARG Fest 2

Greetings all!
In answer to your question, Lazarus, yes, I am 99% certain I will be in Orlando for this event. I haven't ironed out all the details and arrangements yet but am planning on being there and really looking forward to it too.
As far as the the CTW Mini-Quest, check the CTW forums for updated information.
See you in Orlando.
Dave

I don't think I'll be able to either. I was scraping the money together and had actually convinced my husband that we should go. Then he got a demotion at work due to "budget problems". Back to the job search....

Las Vegas to Orlando requires a flight to NY and then from NY to FL.
Round trip (reasonable flight times) = $1225 for two people.

Via Expedia I can find round trip tickets, hotel, and rental car for less than that. Bummer. I was hoping to try out Jet Blue. Maybe for a trip down to San Diego next year.

Well....if you're willing to wait until the last minute, and you're feeling lucky...
Delta does some webfares, that they post on Monday for the following weekend. I got an e-mail yesterday, and it included ATL/Vegas at $168, and ATL/Orlando for $98, each round trip. Those fares are for Sept 27-30.

So, maybe you might get lucky, and there will be an ATL/MCO fare for cheep for that weekend....
