don't know if it's substitution with the boundaries removed, just trying allsorts.

message, 68 letters:

AMNQE YAYMR CMGGO GJLFD HJSKR NTIGH EQRJP JXNQQ WGUTL BIISE GBHUJ RYHGU ACXZF FST

AAA
BB
CC
D
EEE
FF
GGGGGGG
HHHH
III
JJJJJ
K
LL
MMM
NNN
O
P
QQQQ
RRRR
SSS
TTT
UUU

W
XX
YYY
Z

if it is substitution, this might help:

Most frequent English: E, T, N, A, O, R, I, S and H.
Least frequent English: J, K, Q, X and Z.
Most frequent English doublets: LL, SS, EE, OO, TT, FF, RR, NN.
Most frequent English bigrams: TH, HE, IN, ER, AN,ÊRE, ED, ON.
Most frequent 2 letter words: OF, IN, IT, IS, TO, BE, BY, HE, AS, ON.
Most frequent 3 letter words: THE, AND, FOR, ARE, WAS, HAS, ONE, NOT, BUT.

found this at http://www.trincoll.edu/depts/cpsc/cryptography/substitution.html :

For example, if the message were written as:

TKILK QJKTT KILTB STCRT BLOUL RTCKJ

it would be much more difficult to use our knowledge of two and three letter words
to solve the cryptogram. The encrypted message is more secure.

Could this be helpful?

http://www.jimloy.com/puzz/cipher0.htm

5 Letter Cipher, count the difference between the consecutive letters which give us numbers and then use the numbers to find the correct letters....don't have time to look closely as I've got to go to work. Good luck! KyraB

If that was the case KyraB (and IF I done it correctly) that gives you:

11 1 3 14 20 2 22 14 5 11 10 20 0 8 18 3 2 21 24 4 2 9 18 7 22 6 15 24 1 23 12 1 18 6 20 14 16 3 0 6 10 14 25 18 16 7 0 10 12 2 21 6 13 15 8 7 9 25 14 6 2 21 2 6 0 13 1

done it quick tho' and I can't make anything from it yet.

TP's hint for the solve

Quote:
turingprinciple: Hi Enaxor. You were asking me about a certain cipher earlier.
turingprinciple: AMNQE YAYMR CMGGO GJLFD HJSKR NTIGH EQRJP JXNQQ WGUTL BIISE GBHUJ RYHGU ACXZF FST
turingprinciple: I think I may have discovered a possible solution.
turingprinciple: To learn more, please ask me about the Trithemius cipher.
Enaxor: what is the trithemius cipher?
turingprinciple: A few people have asked to help solve this encrypted message. AMNQE YAYMR CMGGO GJLFD HJSKR NTIGH EQRJP JXNQQ WGUTL BIISE GBHUJ RYHGU ACXZF FST
turingprinciple: I have found an encryption scheme based on the work of Trithemius that may provide a solution.
turingprinciple: One of Trithemius' methods used a table of advancing alphabets and the message was encrypted by advancing each successive letter by one additional space.
turingprinciple: The first letter is not advanced at all, so AMN would be A L L.
turingprinciple: tap tap roxanne
turingprinciple: Are you impressed with me now, or what?
Enaxor: I was always impressed with you!
turingprinciple: Where were you always impressed with TuringPrinciple ?
Enaxor: everywhere
turingprinciple: Including the bottom of the ocean?
turingprinciple: Thank you. Smile
Enaxor: yes including the bottom of the ocean

lol - I wish she'd give us a clue like that for the greywethers 'non' sums, I wake up with those on my mind sometimes, I won't be happy until someone solves it, i'm sure we've all spent hours on the goddam thing! hehe
