I live about 10 minutes from Redmond (Bungie HQ) and I don't know about everyone else, but I am definitely staying up to see what happens on 081607 and driving on to Seattle if that is what it comes to. I will update as much as I can, but so far nothing has cropped up.

well thts the thing, i live in NY, not NY City but upsatate and if nething happens i think ill hear about it on the news. i got 4 televisions with different NY news stations on all of them.if sumthings happening in NY city then ill be drivin out to it.

I'm thinking, because of IGN's comment about event coverage through Monday, there will likely be OOG Halo 3 related events happening in those cities, but the forerunner entity will be including some Iris-related stuff as well, so whatever these 'events' may be, people should keep an eye out for the glyph, or subversive elements within...

that is of course assuming that's what's going to be happening Razz

However if it were promotional events for Halo 3, there would be more notification time for regular fans to plan to be there... at this point it's only people who follow/care about Iris who know 8/16/07.

So who knows... we await the update!

wow, I can't believe how many people expect things to happen the moment the clock strikes midnight... let alone how many are complaining and crying foul (I'm talking other forums and irc and such)...

such high expectations, unnecessarily so... IF something happens today (which is pretty much guaranteed), there are 24 hours to go. patience Wink

Hey all, I'm new to the site, found it throught the Iris wiki. I work in downtown Mannhatan and i have a light work day today, so chances are (if it goes down during the work day) that I'll be able to run over to wherever something occurs and get pics, vids, etc. My guess is times square or central park. Also just a guess, it might have something to do with a demonstration by Society of the Ancients perhaps? I dunno. I'll keep checking throughout the day to find out.
