Proof...?
My proof alarm didn't go off......

Alrighty then. I read and re-read the above posts regarding the "proof" that was about to be unveiled to all of us that Happy Talk was in no way shape or form wholly or partially fan/player submitted quotes.....PROOF, we were promised.
I will be the first person to admit it when I am proven wrong. I will even step up before I have to be proven wrong if I even vaguely suspect that I am. We all (or the majority of us, I believe) are after the same goal. I don't think that Happy Talk is even a huge part of the plot or integral to us unlocking other information, at least not as important as the flavors, the MySpace dialog, character interaction, the trailer, etc. I believe it's more of a way to make us feel like we are a part of the unfolding story. That we idiots who spend way too much time on this stuff, have a "say" in what happens, it becomes more "real" if you change things in some way, no matter how small.
There are 7 or 8 quotes on Happy Talk that come so close to things I have sent in, it's crazy... (Before you bruise your knuckles on your keyboards replying, let me state that I am not saying that they are MY quotes, I am saying that they could just as easily be, in that they are so close to what I have sent in...) so again, why is it so unbelievable that these are our quotes? I mean, compared to characters having SPECIFIC and personal conversations with people on this and other forums, why would generating 7 or 8 quotes sent in via e-mail from fans who "get it" be so hard to imagine and so IMPOSSIBLE ???
Just because someone on this forum hasn't had concrete proof...(wait....not sure how you could ever prove that "hey, that was my quote!" anyhow.) There have been a number of people say that they believe their quotes are posted. Not to mention, do you guys think that this ARG/Viral campaign is limited to the people on this forum?? Poor JJ & Co. hope they don't spend too much money, on a film who's audience could fit in 1 theater. Some of the replies on here make me wonder if I am the oldest person participating. No wonder this forum is 900,000 pages. If all the time and energy that was spent debating details about the smallest of issues and the angry insulting, primary school level slams to people only trying to help, was spent instead on promoting each others ideas, and to researching leads, no matter how small, we may get somewhere. Although admittedly, we're none getting anywhere until January (surely, you all know this...unless you enjoy cheating and have to resort to getting info. by means not intended to be a part of the game/whatever this is...).

I don't claim to know anything for sure. It just seems very likely and logical to me considering that is what the website asks from us..."Are you HAPPY? Tell Slusho! RIGHT NOW!"..."Your HAPPY TALK!" Mainly just for fun, as I said.

Thanks for the complete list of quotes from Happy Talk!, I had somehow missed seeing all of them in one place they may come in handy. I will be saving that list.

I have no proof of what I am saying is a fact...and apparently I am not the only one without any.

Bloop!

Yeah, you obviously don't know how to use the search function on any of those sites either.

I am 100% sure that there was a guy on here that claim to have submitted "Slusho is people." I remember a conversation ensuing about whether to believe him. I tried searching for it, no dice. Admin might be able to find it.
At this point, I think we're just arguing because there's nothing else to talk about anymore. I highly doubt that Happy Talk is a huge clue to finding out what the monster is.

Why the fuck would I search for something now? I didn't start this thread and I don't really give a fuck if someone says they submitted one of the happy talk quotes because hey... I wrote the first ammendment!!

That is possibly the strangest and most shameless responses I have ever seen, permissable only if you are an angry seven year old that picked up some fun new words on the television and just got beaten at hopscotch...

bluberry
twas I

I'm very sorry to say that I sent in the "bluberry" quote on the slusho site. I was hoping that it was all in game, so we could scour it for clues. On 8-6, after fiddling with the flavors for the last time, on the verge of giving up on this madness, I sent satoshi that quote. The subject was "Strawberry", and I wrote "Strawberry and bluberry are my favorites!" I know I can't prove it to you guys, but its true. Unless it's just a really strange coincidence. I do feel a strange sense of honor to be included, though.

Hopscotch...
Let's get to hopping...

Hopscotch seems to be a prerequisite on this forum. I wish now I had signed up for it in Junior High....I obviously missed a lot! Seems to somehow endow one with useful ARG/Whatever this we are doing/puzzle solving skills.

Is there an online 7th grade level hopscotch course offered anywhere that anyone knows of??

Yes, there have been a number of people stating that their quotes are on Happy Talk. Doubt they can prove it though, but also doubt anyone can prove not... it's a sad endless loop of Did Too!!....Did Not!!

WAIT....I do remember learning that, it was in 4th grade where I live though.

WEIRD.

I'm one of the persons who, early on, mentioned the Bloop phenomenon on one of the Creature Theory threads. I still think that's a possibility, but I don't think that the new Happy Talk reference is meaningful.

It should go without saying that the persons running the Slusho! site have to make editorial decisions about which submissions they post--after all, they must have tens of thousands by now. It is quite another thing to assume that this necessary exercise of discretion on their part is intended to leave clues or red herrings--it could, after all, be entirely randomized (ok, I know randomizing would not be exercising any discretion, but you get the point).

Unless and until some definite connection is found between these quotes and an as-yet-unrevealed clue on 1-18-08 or myspace, it's all just speculation. Certainly not any basis for flaring of tempers toward eachother here.

phaetoen, DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING?? You are willingly and publicly claiming that you sent in one of the quotes that is being used on Slusho! ?? You now have a X on your forehead the size of a whale...I sure wish you had a way of proving it...( I believe you, BTW).

You are now officially sentenced to days and days of malicious slams and people insisting on some kind of proof. The only way most people on here believe anything is when JJ Abrams makes an appearance or a statement...cause he only wants us to find everything out ASAP, and point us all in the right direction, you know. he would NEVER dream of sending us down a confusing/time buying path.

(Did you ever play hopscotch as a child by any chance??) Wink

Bloop

with three Bloop references(bloop on flavor mix page, bloop quote, and the gamejack sites) IMO jj will use the sound of the bloop in the movie to signify the early discovery of the monster like the old man from godzilla

So we need to mount a coordinated e-mail campaign, submitting phrases that all include a unique keyword that appears here on the forums before it appears on Happy Talk. That's how we verify that Happy Talk is indeed user-generated.

Here's what I'm sending: Bluepberry makes my tummy smile!

Bluepberry being the keyword. Bloopberry would work as well. They seem to like clever, cutesy crap over there. Make up your own saying, include the keyword and we'll see what happens.

(This kind of thing works better if we make list of several keywords to use...increases our odds.)

Look, I'm sorry if my earlier posts seemed a bit harsh and childish but I have just gotten so frustrated by the fact that this forum has become less reliable than even 011808news.com. Anyhow, for the millionth time now, Happy Talk is absolutely 100% NOT fan-submitted. Believe it or don't but you will see when it is all over and done with. The thing that is bothering the most is how people have seemed to forget what the only actual legit facts are that we have for this film/ARG/campaign. Seems people are thinking that early fan speculations and theories are actual facts or findings, I'm not going to sit and list any examples because I can't be bothered really, but if one were so inclined to look at the first few pages of the trail-head thread (which has turned fucking disgusting and embarrassing) you will notice that alot of the stuff being referred to recently as gospel truth is just a bunch of theories or ideas that were tossed around when all this started. I just can't believe what a mess this forum has become, and it does make me angry, because nearer the beginning of this ordeal unfiction seemed to be mostly organized and logical people who were trying to sort this thing out. Now that it has gotten some reputation for being an informative forum the flood gates have opened to absurdity and no one seems to mind that finding any logic on this board now is like finding a needle in a haystack. I'm not going to point out any reasons why any theories AREN'T true, because if there is any truth to some of these theories or "facts" than there should be some evidence to prove it right? and again, i know for a FACT, that no one on this board has, or ever will see something that they sent to Satoshi's email up on Happy Talk! Fond Adieu n00bz :^P

Okay, so let's say the Slusho Talk is reader response. Let's say it was a bloop fan who sent in "BLOOP!" Why would the people running the site put it up at the slusho talk page? It really has nothing to do with slusho or whales or anything like that. All the other quotes, as awkward and random as they are, are at least on theme.
