I made the piece for five news. Any questions let me know...

the trailer was downloaded from Apple.com/quicktime.

i think the reason you can hear "shut up" and no growl is when I edited it I took one track of audio not both, it seems the stereo mix is quite separate in the trailer

Listening in Quicktime Pro, it sounds like it was just the Center channel that philipbloom used. No roar, no cuckoo. It is interesting to listen to the different channels, especially the center or surround. Definitely easier to hear certain things like conversations on the roof.

he says "you guys don't think thats ______, it's just an accident right?"

hmmmm.... this kinda goes with the theory that someone might have known about it...

sort of, but its more wide open than that. That is the kind of thing where they saw the explosion, and they probably link it to terrorism, and you will always get some one who doesnt want to believe it, who wants reassurance that it was just a cock up with an oil truck or something.

Thats more likely.

I dont think there are many people who, when a giant monster attacks NYC are going to have any prior knowledge, especiall some one from Robs party.

Rumours of giant monsters just dont tend to get many listeners or believers at dinner tables.

Hearing Different Stuff...
Yep...

Sounds like some theories that the rest of us have known all along may finally be picking up some steam.....?

Rob knows something, or, as I believe, he knows everything. Perhaps not in the exact minute by minute play by play kind of way, but he knows that the potential exists for what is beginning to unfold in Manhattan. What we are seeing (without giving too much away in the trailer, so as to keep this ARG/viral marketing/insomnia invoker going for 5 more months) is a few seconds of a highly edited, and I mean TO THE FRAME piece of film that is crafted so perfectly so as not to give even the slightest of clues away blatantly, rather give enough away in SUBTLE whispered "hey look at me" almost subliminal form. The clues that it does give away, it does so skilfully, that thousands of people have literally picked it apart frame by frame, and are still coming up with new stuff, although much slower now.
I have heard so many theories regarding particulars of the trailer/Slusho!/MySpace, etc. that I think will become important to the overall story, but have been immediately or ultimately dismissed by the cough*PROS*cough on this and other forums, that will definitely come back up and be proven to be right.
So, I will say as I have from the beginning...we aren't gonna find too much more that is "hidden" in the frames of the trailer, rather there are SO many things that we dismiss, just because they are not in some far fetched de-stegging of photos, or deciphering website code, etc.
The BIG things are already right there in front of us, or it will be added in the upcoming photos on 01-18-08.com(yes, there will be more)...Slusho.jp...if a new trailer comes out...or in the communication/unfolding of the characters via MySpace.

Rob knows....HE KNOWS!!!! He is already part of the situation. Likewise, the other friends know bits and pieces, or have some idea of a possible situation that is about to present itself. Rob is their "main dude", and that doesn't mean just the leader of their circle of friends, or a term of endearment. JJ takes care of Rob, as in: he is important for Rob in a way that is not just being a good brother. In my opinion, the friends at the party seem rather subdued...all of them. Notice some of the "background" characters, they are more or less "zombified". Just spaced-out...may just be my perception, but I doubt it.

I have kept up with all this since day one. I have my suspicions about some stuff. I am trying to put together an understandable, "connect the dots" flow chart (not as easy as it sounds, mind you!!) and will try to post it here, but it may take me a bit of time to do it. From what I can gather, there are gonna be SO many people caught off guard by the plot of this film!!! I am afraid all the Cthulu/Godzilla/Voltron/ mega monster freaks are gonna be so disappointed when they don't lay eyes upon a monster!!! (Not saying that there is no monster....mind you!) What we see in the trailer is but a blink of an eye time-wise in the scope of this whole film...and no, it won't all be filmed in the "handycam" style, IMHO. I will eat crow if it is.

One thing I can say without hesitation....Rob knows, and he ain't the only one who does....

Now, if we can figure out just WHAT they know.....and how they know....
hmmmmmmm?
Wink

obvious

obviously rob will know something as he is the main character as all leading main characters know something in most monster movies so he'll obviously have some knowledge that will explain to the audience who? or what? caused this.

The 1080p one has 6 separate audio tracks, though not all of them are interesting.
