But on the blog it mentions text messages... If he means SMS it was first utilized in 1985... So, no earlier than 85?

Well, their mother died in '67 and Matt's myspace says he's 21, so even if she had him the same year she died, the timeframe can't be any later than '89. Although I'd guess before 1980, since Karl Doenitz is still Fuhrer.
I'm not sure Doenitz is Fuhrer? I believe both Myspace profiles talk about him being dead as well. Or only being Fuhrer until 1980. I'm leaning towards 1988 but, I'm not sure either.
Ahh, I misread Matt's profile. I thought it said "before he dies" not died. So yeah, I guess after 80 then.

I'm hoping this conversation will prompt the next blog to mention the current date in passing... ^^
it's midnight here in 20 mins or so now, but I don't think the timer is going to do anything (looked at the myspace code site it comes from) i think any update is going to be dependent on the PM/s which seem to be operating from the US time wise?

And if we really want to get picky, Myspace wasn't made until 2003 and Blogspot in 1999.

I think you're right. I watched it roll over last night and all it did was start over at 24 hours.

ran it through this:
http://www.wordsmith.org/anagram/
37038 results...
try it out if you like, I'm skeptical about this whole anagram idea though personally so I'm not going to dwell on it too much

I actually didn't consider it an anagram, I ran it through a decyphering program and that's what I got.

UH OH! It looks like we have three hours to get a message to Sara about getting out of the city. Check out Elements new blog.
I hope someone has access to the cypher tools. I'm at work so I'll be no help.

Credits to whoever may have figured it out first, but here are the translations to the papers that our Resistance guy sent us:
The one next to Luftwaffe Operation: TW9vbmxpZ2h0IFNvbmF0YQ==
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Base64 for "Moonlight Sonata"
The series of codes at the end of the letter: MTM3Mw== - 30 39 38 38 - 00110011 00110001 00110111 00110111
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
These are translated from Base64, HEX, and Binary respectively:
1373-0988-3177
NOTE: treating the numbers as HEX (13 73 09 88 31 77) translates to "s[indent space]ˆ1w" Probably nothing, but I see potential for coordinates.

2 hours until Matt and his soldiers move into the city, I don't see that there is any way we can help Sara find an escape route? Unless we just send her vague suggestions like try going through the sewers and stuff...
Maybe I'm a precog
