There's an offer on TV here at the moment where if you buy a pack of nappies (diapers) they vaccinate a child in Africa against all sorts of nasty stuff. However, in the small print at the bottom it says that the vaccine is worth 2p. That is about 1/500th of the actual price, and the nappies will last you a week. It's disgusting that they act like they're making a massive difference.

Sorry Neil, but to echo Wab's statement below:

What may be disgusting is that 1/500th of anything may actually make a massive difference, but I need to read more and be less drunk to say anything on the subject.

I really mean no disrespect to anyone, just asking the question.

yeah i guess a little is better than nothing.

oh and there was an error in my last post, it was 1/250th of the price. in order to donate the equivalent of £1 in vaccines you would need to buy almost a year's worth of nappies (not to mention spending about £250). i just hate the way they use it to advertise themselves as a caring sharing company. if the offer was for anything else than self-promotion, it would be at least 1/5 of the price to charity per pack. they can afford it.

So has anyone missed me? You bet yer britches I've missed you all. Sorry I'm a huge lame-o and am not around much. I have been working all day and going directly to class from work so I am gone 9 to 10 and I barely have time to eat dinner and work out before I fall into bed. I graduate in June though! YESS. After that I will be ridiculously rich and I will buy each and every one of you a brand new car. You can call me Oprah 2.0. Anyways, I love all yr gutses and don't forget about me! PS you can always keep my company on my sidekick. It's my best friend these days. AIM me at:Guerillagumdrop and keep me updated or just keep me awake in class. As the Official President of THP I will say that I love you all, and 2008 will be a glorious year for codiness and all ARGery!

While we are waiting for things to pick up again, you guys might want to check out the ARG 48 hours of pergutory. I just started catching up on it and it seems pretty cool.

Thanks ye, thanks ye.

If you need to find things out about that game, there's a despoiler article and we're setting up a "video wiki" which Nicole is already helping with.

I think I'm finally caught up on this and ready to roll whenever it picks up again.

I think that if I had the chance to do a heroine I would. I mean have you ever checked out the gams on Wonder Woman?

I say that because this week I buried a good friend who killed herself with a heroin overdose, and over a stupid boy no less. I say that because what she did has forever changed the lives of very many people, and not in a positive way. I'm just passing the word along to anyone who will listen. Don't do heroin. Don't kill yourself. Both very stupid moves.

Hear, hear. I'm quite against hard drugs of any sort, so no worries on my part.

I'm sorry you've lost a friend. I hope you're recovering well enough. <3
