 The Roar
...was scary...

Holy F$#*&K! It just did it to me, too! I tried just leaving it open in another tab and at almost the exact moment I forgot about it, it roared. Dammit, I think my blood just turned cold...

Well, there's your update folks! Nice Catch!

The only websites I had open were this one, 1-18-08 running on a seperate tab, and Jamies Myspace.

I was listening to her song and reading various posts, when suddenly I heard the (very distinctive) roar from the trailer. I thought for a second it was edited into the song, so I paused it, and the roar continued for another few seconds. I thought perhaps it was a sound-enabled advertisement, but none of these three sites have sound-enabled advertisements.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I just heard this myself, It was after I left the 1-18-08 page open for about 5 mins or so....anyone else? Its definitely the roar from the trailer, maybe some updates to come soon?

I refreshed the page after I heard the roar and let it sit again. Sure enough, about 5 minutes after the refresh, it roared.

I let it sit to see if it would do it without the refresh, but no.

So, it seems 5 minutes after the page is loaded, there is a roar, then nothing...

I watched the page, too. Nothing happened. No new picture, nothing moved. Just the sound.

Scared the $hit out of me all three times, though.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one it creeped out. It's perfectly timed. I've been chain smoking since it got me, and I'm still kinda scared to go back and make it happen again.

OK, so how long will it take for someone to decompile the flash and have the sound run through a spectrum analyzer? Very Happy Rolling Eyes

If I had the technology handy, I'd be all over that -__-;;

Also, correction. It seems to happen SIX minutes after the page loads. There's that damn number again.

hehe no-one tell 1-18-08news.com, its amusing when they're either way behind in the updates or committed to some load of BS. Just a little schadenfreude on my part.

I just listened to it, and there is def. something in it. I dont have the right program on this computer as i am at work, but i will get on it when i get home. Which wont be till late cause i have a show tonight, anyway. I have a few different programs i will run it through. To me it sounds like if you reverse it and slow it down there is something there. If anyone can right now try that. Let us know. Good luck!!!

I'm trying it now. I've never done it before, so I don't know what I'm LOOKING for, but we'll see what happens. I heard something different about it, too. Unless it's just because it's clipping like the hell.

Awesome, hopefully this is the next step.

I'm not getting anything interesting. But then, I've never analyzed sound before, so I'm not sure what to look for.

Okay, I've been playing with this first roar for little while, and there's obviously a slowed down voice at the tail end of it. I sped it up, but there's too much racket carrying over it to tell what it says exactly. Sounds like "Today" or "Too Late". Sounds like something like that.

I don't think it's backwards. My connection times out like every few minutes so I can't tell if the other 5 roars (since there're 6, right?) are different.
Still, there's something there that someone more experienced then I am should check out.

Plus that roar is still creeping me out. I'm totally fitting it in somewhere in my DJ set tonight at the club...ooooh I hope there's someone more messed up then they need to be there tonight... Twisted Evil
