Given this, I believe your leap to concluding that the chapter binary is only going to spell tkieth again is a little premature.

Agreed. I stand corrected!

EDIT: The first word in each converts to the second tag via ROT13 (http://edoceo.com/utilis/rot13.php). Don't know what that tells us, though....

Good catch! Maybe that's telling us to use ROT-13 in association with the videos... Could it have been a hint for the puzzle in the videos? (Did that have anything to do with rotation ciphers at all?)

Are there any other words that, when ROT-13ed, turn into other words? Maybe that's the password we're looking for.

(Or we could just email Ty and ask for his password... Not that he'd give it to us. Would you give out your password to some random people?)

Yes it did. The phonetic alphabet in the videos spelled out a phrase that was rot13 for the website which put us on to the search for the password... You are probably right that the tags being rot13 was a hint for that very puzzle.

Ok, I think we need someone in here with extensive web design / and/or flash knowledge, because the next coding method on the dennis squalor page is "_root." which I looked up and it is way over my head. We need some help here. Also, I can't help but think that the symbols above "_root." (which are *//:{} ) look like a monkey, I dunno if it looks like that to anyone else. So if anyone knows anyone with lots of flash coding knowledge, point them in this direction so they can explain what "_root." is.

I got a response from Ty. He said that the codex is always moving to different places. He also said that he'd seen it. And apparently the way we're communicating is not safe from SSF and the Electric Church. So i responded asking him what safe ways we could communicate and if he could remember what the true codex said.

I'm currently awaiting a response...

Chat-Ty isn't very helpful, either. Rolling Eyes

Asking about the password:

Ha. Open sesame.
The first one's pretty easy. Just look around. It gets a bit trickier when you get to the HEX.

press release

This is off of the current line of questioning, but I've been looking through the electric church site and the posts here, and I'm wondering two things.

1) Does anyone know the significance of the comments on the press release from the electric church?

2) the author of the press release (from the properties of the word document) is lencicka and the company GWPS-NY . Does anyone know if either of these are significance. Google pulls up many hits for lencicka in polish and nothing that I've found relevant for GWPS.

Edit:
I may have found the answer to 2). http://www.gwps.com/ is links to a company called Graphics World which seems to have a New York office. So probably whomever really wrote it neglected to change the name and company fields.

Hah, I'm assuming its just amateur PM's. And the way we're communicating now not being safe is absolute BS. Its bad form and poor etiquette for PM's or characters involved with the formation of the game to be snooping around here. This is our stronghold so to speak, this method should be safe, but I guess etiquette isn't important to them. I mean I could show poor etiquette by using the program Brutus to crack the password problem, or i could decompile all the flash on their site, but no, I'm not going to because I'm honorable and PLAY THE GAME AND KEEP THE RULES. So...

I think "snooping" is allowed, posting is not.
