Hmmm, here are the lyrics to Electric Church Red House.

http://www.lyricsfreak.com/j/jimi+hendrix/electric+church+red+house_20232616.html

Very close might mean we don't really have it yet. Confused The lyrics don't seem to pertain much to the game, and the end of the song is kind of a joke twist. The dude had been a way for too long I'm afraid. Laughing

I was going back and piecing some stuff together.

I remember on the Squalor page, the binary, when translated, actually reads...

Some more curiosities...

Most of them are probably very unrelated...

Somers had a short novella published enititled Dust.

It can be read here. http://www.innerswine.com/ebooks/dust.txt

That image with the baloon is actually a kid in a diaper holding a balloon from the Inner Swine Magazine.

Here's a free one. http://www.innerswine.com/archives/11.4.pdf

www.lilithsaintcrow.com was the editor for The Electric Chuch, perhaps she can help us?

Wow, can you guys tell me how you finally got the password? In the Experience? how were we supposed to get that? but like I said I'm back now that the password is found, and I'll take a look at it too. Hopefully its legible after being printed. In my opinion, those sites we were "supposed to find" seemed sort of far away and inaccessible, and what did the blogs have to do with the password? What were we supposed to do, try every word we read? Dang Pms learn how to plant a decent, accessible clue, wow...

and two posts above, the numbers in the madness sequence also happen to spell madness in DEC/CHAR encoding. too bad... I thought that was interesting.

Yeah, the codex for the most part doesn't make much sense. Maybe there is more than one password, one leading us to this and another one leading us to something that makes more sense? I am aggravated.

And I am with y'all that say it makes no sense how the password is In The Experience. I can't find anything in the clues that Ty gave to us that point us to that! Confused

I think someone is messing with me here

I had this offline Yahoo message from "ysdelixc_esx_didact" at 8:59PM last night:
a third north carolinian is trapped by the Electric Church

I think we can all figure out what this person's name is unscrambled. Which is why I think I'm being messed with.

THAT WAS ME! Crying or Very sad

I was referring to the game, not the actual Church itself. You never replied, or w/e, so I didn't follow up on it.

Funny.

Ok, I suppose, to sum up for everyone...

signguy suddenly came up with the password following our leads about base2 binary from the chapters (rather than traditional binary, with 8 numbers)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
in the experience

which took us to the Codex. "somewhere" in the Codex, someone found
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Ask Ty what happened in Paris?"

So, when we did, he gave us a cryptic message with the following link

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Hmmm. Maybe you're who you say you are. But I still need proof: http://the-electric-church.com/love/is/squalor/and/dust.html.

After a little case of "I've been playing this too long and I can't think straight anymore" from some of our players, we went to that site.

Go there, since there isn't anything I can post on here to explain it.

Now, after doing all that, a few of us began to feel like none of this is making sense, like we're on a detour or something, and being played.

This was fueled by the title of the page before the Codex, entitled "very close". And the fact that the Codex was complete gibberish. also, the fact that the password signguy gave us just didn't follow the base2binary, the first two words did, but afte that, nuh-uh. So no one understood how he came up with it. So I tried tinkering with various passwords and the following three also worked...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In the end, in the enigma and In the e
, so yeah, it's safe to say SOMETHING is up, or someoen else is right and Ty and the PM's figured we weren't getting it and through us a bone.

EITHER WAY, the dust page is a complete and utter mess, and some think it might be a magic eye. I'm usually good at those, and I see nothing, but I also know they're harder to do on normal monitors becuase of optical illusions. It might be best for someone with a flatscreen to try.

Now, I say we take a vote. Do we continue and try to figure out what the dust page is trying to tell us, or do we go back and try to figure out another password to eternalsalvation2? Or do we split our resources and try both avenues until one of us stumbles upon something more concrete?

HAHA! I'm sorry Adam. I didn't know that was you. Smile I didn't get the message until this morning - I guess I missed it. We can chat again sometime soon.
