oh ok, it was base-2 binary. I didn't know you could encode binary like that, that kinda blows my mind. Oh well, at least we have something else to work on now instead of taking wild stabs and managing to hit on one of them Smile. Lets get to it.

The page name is brother, so may or may not be the login

When you click on the image, it redirects to /brother, for which we need a password.

Thank you, I am feeling a little lost at the moment. I still don't really see how you were able to get the monk image and I can't get the fauxto program to work. I'll see what I can figure out this weekend, I am currently still trying to read through the codex. Rolling Eyes

F recognized the image from previous encounters with the cipher, is all. We didn't have to dissolute it or anything.

For a photo editor there is also a free program called GIMP. I use Photoshop at home and I have GIMP on my work computer both have similar functionality. I still prefer Photoshop only because I have been using it for some time.

As for the monk image image. It is actually a collection of 5 images overlayed. If you want to download them enter in these addresses:

Thanks! Smile

This is just an FYI, probably doesn't mean anything. I ran StegSpy2.1 on picture_2.gif on the dead monks page and it said this

Quote:
Steganography found at marker position 7855
Hiderman program detected!

I downloaded the Hiderman program and it said there was nothing hidden in the file. Any ideas where position 7855 might be in the file?

Strange I had just browsed to those sites viewed the images and downloaded them to my desktop. I also previewed the posting and tested them out. Let me look again and do some source searching and see where they are located...

Links should work now. I just tested them. I kept them in the same post so as not to confuse future followers of this trail.

I also noticed that to see them from those links you must first go to the

page.

I find it a little strange that there is mention of "5.gif" in the pages source code but if there is a 5.gif it is not stored like the other images. I am not a wizard at source code but I can read it perhaps someone might want to look at it.

Where does the "Save the monk" phrase come from? Was that someone on heres quote or a IG quote? It can be read two ways and I am wondering if the image of the monk needs to be saved for some manipulation....

Just a thought.

If we knew the answers to that, we'd be ahead of you right now. But we're not, and we're all stuck right where you are. Razz
