I don't want to come off as a know-it-all, arrogant, or rude, but I really feel like, at least right now, focusing on the codex is the wrong avenue to pursue.

We should be trying to understand what the blogads mean. It really has to be something to do with the blogs, I think. Maybe when we get a reasonable response from Ty, we'll know.

Yeah I agree, I just wanted to have the codex accessible for archiving purposes in actual coherent speech, even though the codex might not be of the utmost importance now. And in the process we may find something. As I see it, we are saving some time in the future. But I agree to some extent with you Adam.

If you think that is the correct message that Ty wanted to see to make sure he could trust us then go ahead and send it to him, I don't think there's any harm in trying. If we're right, he'll tell us, if we're wrong, he'll tell us to keep looking.

Good job on finding that, I've looked at that source code a dozen times and never saw it. I have no idea what it means, but it gives me some ideas on blogads....a blogad could also be anything added to a blog. On the Google blogs there are sections in the source for Google Ads. I'm going to try to see if I can see any discrepancies between what comes standard and what may have been changed by the PM.

Has anyone left any voice messages for Brother Morgan? I emailed electricmonkSPLAThotmail.com several days and it has never bounced back, but I've never received a reply either.

I know this is probably meaningless, but the equation on page 13 is a mirror image (it is backwards).

Speaking of Mirror Images...

When I was looking at the codex I noticed two splotches that were roughly symmetrical, as if the pages were pressed together, face forward over the smudge. The smudge is at the bottom right of page one, and at the bottom left of five. It could be that they got bored and just used the same shape of smudge twice, but maybe not...

you know, I was thinking about that myself. when he started with that ("go home. its where the heart is.") prodding, we were already past that part of the game. its been bugging me for a while, so I started digging around the "home" pages of all the related websites. sounds like waitress#2 is doing something similar in the source code.

the only thing ive found so far: an odd, discolored area in the background of the "church's" homepage before ty-bot pops up to tell you to get out & before the text slides up from the bottom.

it appears pixelated, reminscient of the overlay puzzle, but I cant be sure until someone grabs it (i lack that ability) and we can brighten it up a spot or two.

any takers?

*sigh*

nevermind then. I took a screencap, put it in paint to cut away the extraneous stuff, saved that as a bmp, & opened it in M$ photo editor.

I cant say with 100% accuracy that this is what it is, but it appears to be "electric church" with some little box in front of the first "E".

so that pretty much confirms the fact that im a little out of my league on this (my first) ARG. ah well.

I emailed Ty asking if we've found all of the blogs. I don't know if I'll get an answer or not, but I thought I'd try. I feel like I'm missing something. Confused Only one of the blogs we know about has any ads, and those seem really worthless.

A lot of us have received real replys from Ty, for instance I asked if the letters and numbers at the bottom of the hack video were a hint at a clue. He said it was not a clue.

I haven't emailed him again until today.

Edit/I haven't really gotten anything significant out of the Barnaby Dawson bot yet, but I think that we could if we were to ask the right questions.

so, I returned to the homepage of TEC, and asked ajax-bot where the heart is.

he replies with the cryptic: "the heart is at the center of things"

later, after reading waitress#2's suggestion about asking the right questions of Barnaby-bot, I return for some pity & ask the same question of him.

he replies: "the heart is at the center of things"

I ask: why do we need the heart?

he replies: "for your listening pleasure" (???)

I ask: how can we find the heart?

he replies: "it depends on the coordinate frame"

if i remember right, in one of Ty's mails he stressed something like:

Quote:
Go home. Its where the heart is.

so ive continued chatting with Barnaby-bot (the crazy bastard) and he goes through fits of incoherent off the cuff bot-isims & occaisional lucid in-game speak.

I was bugging him about the heart again (from a different tack) and he said it was in Portland, Maine.

I asked what was in portland, maine? He replied that was Dennis Squalor's place in the system.

the difficult part of chatting with barnaby-bot is sifting through all the pre-programmed bot-speak to determine what are actual bones the PM's are lobbing at us.

Edit: dunno how we got on the subject, but Barnaby-bot says he died at "time index 357241".
