3. Back to an in game comment... I suppose this was a sort of Techno-Majic ritual using cyber-occult processes. That being said there is a few things that granted may not be very important depending on how the keepers set things up, what were the compass points of the "monks" and the altar itself?

In an occult ritual both fake and real, the compass points are very key in a successful ritual. This being said, it is also important as to where the center computer wit the bent out casing was placed. Also are there any pics of the the floor around the site or even underneath the center computer?

Well, only Sapagoo can probably answer this question, but I dug up what I guess is the arial view of the Storage facility. I'm 80% sure that the building that runs north-south corresponds with the Maze of doors picture. You can see the top of the "Public Storage" sign in the arial view. Isn't Google Maps grand?

The next step would be locate the maze of doors picture We can't know if the picture was taken on the north side, in which case the door to 858 would face east, or on the south side, in which case it would face west. If Sapagoo can remember that based on the ariel footage and remember the basic layout of the room, then we could probably put a guess to the compass directions.

layout of Public Storage

The bright white building is Building F.
858 was on the lower level.
I entered through "Entrance 1", down the short hallway, and then about a third of the way down the long hallway.
F858 was on my left. You can see the door, that the 3 Monks were in the other 3 corners, facing the altar.
The altar was square, with a thin circular disc, and the yellow PC at an angle, with the "explosion" facing the door (probably for greatest impact for the person entering the room).
(The altar is not to scale with the room - it did not take up the whole room)
(The room is not to scale with the building - it was only one of 40-50 rooms on that side of the hallway)

Who/whatever locked the room after I took the harddrive must have entered from "Entrance 3" - otherwise I would have caught them in the act.

I tend to use Google Maps, but sometimes it's just plain cooler (and mo' betta) to see things in Microsofts Bird's Eye View mode. Especially when you can change the camera angle to see from the N, S, E, or W.

Okay, not sure where I am going with this -- just putting pieces together. Putting it in this thread since some of it came from the Trussed Swan stuff.

HOLY OMFG STORAGE FREAKYNESS

The parts of it that seem to be more related to us are from the: Avesta Venidad

Notably the dog Providence is given as Vanghapara (a hedgehog) and the Shub Niggurath is given as Zairimyangura, (a tortoise). Which begs the question: why are we the hedgehog? It's disturbing to see us specifically included in something that chorazos is using for such ends.

Trussed Swan Wiki
Quote:
2. Yog Sothoth answered: 'The dog with the prickly back, with the long and thin muzzle, the dog Providence, which evil-speaking people call the Dog of Dreams; this is the good creature among the creatures of the good spirit that from midnight till the sun is up goes and kills thousands of the creatures of the evil spirit.

3. 'And whosoever, O Chorazos! shall kill the dog Providence, which evil-speaking people call the Dog of Dreams, his sins in thought, word, and deed are redeemed as they would be by a Patet; his sins in thought, word, and deed are atoned for.

*(note - read #4-6 also. Could Marie be a sacrifice?)

Now, I was remembering something from a long way back -- about hedgehogs.... and suffering -- The 2006 Hedgehog Review!

Also, on hedgehogs (from wiki):
Quote:
Hedgehogs occasionally perform a ritual called 'anointing'. When they come across a new scent, they will lick and bite the source. They will then form a scented froth in their mouths and paste it on their quills with their tongue. It is rather amazing to see a hedgehog contort and lick the top of its head. This camouflages them with the new scent of the area and provides a possible poison or source of infection to any predator that gets poked by their quills.

Now that reminded me about what StuR's brother wrote about him....

Quote:
Stu was an interesting brother. He kept me on my toes. Scratching at my chicken pox and laughing when he came down with them; purposefully playing with rabid animals because he was interested by the idea of mouth foam

and, in an earlier post StuR wrote:

Gotta be careful of the rats down there, though. Big, nasty pointy teeth, they have, dripping rabid with saliva, feening for the taste of fresh man. I heard they've changed the post-bite medical procedures, guaranteed to be better than the giant needle to the abdomen. A summer tan helps that white scar wink at me.

Good catch Tip, I had completely forgotten about the magazines. Perhaps we should revisit the red circled words?

I think at this point it's safe to assume that everything should be revisited a little bit. We need to start making sense of all this.

We're on our own now.
