 		Again, what makes you think that this forum is about pulling people's fingers?

unFiction is about the discussion, playing, disecting of Alternate Reality Games and Chaotic Fiction. It's not about gags, flaming, name calling. There are plenty of other forums for that sort of noise.

Why did you create a log in just to get people to open a webpage that is just garbage?

Welcome to uF to enjoy the genre WITH us, not to crap on us. If all you want to do is poop, then please go find an outhouse somewhere else.

 		Seems to be a bit of a hypocrisy here by the admins. I mean, you guys will edit someone from posting profanity yet all you do with a garbage thread like this is edit the tag in the title to humor?

What this person posted was not humorous in any way. It is grotesque, immature and irresponsible. It is even more irresponsible of the admins allowing this to be present knowing that young people browse this forum.

Moding this board is a 24-7 gig. I think the UF team has been doing the best possible job that they could, while keeping the editing/deleting/censoring to a minimum. They probably didn't delete the link because they didn't follow it. If you did, and you saw something offensive, why not point it out to an admin so that they would delete it? Why trash them in the open message board? That's not cool.
If you want these boards to be better, help them get better. Don't just toss around blame and complain.

It is obvious that the link is offensive and inappropriate for these forums without having to goto it myself. The posts following the initial post by the OP say just as much.

I will toss blame around when it fits. In this case it does. One post gets edited for profanity and then this one stays put. A few curse words are one thing but what this stuff is, is completely a whole different can of worms.

And you sir, fall into the same category for those being irresponsible by complaining about my post.

The material on this thread is inappropriate for these forums period. There is nothing funny about it period. Something should have been done other than tagging it has humor, which it most assuredly is not.

Nice retort, except the fact that you completely ignored my question. If you knew it was offensive, why not talk to an admin about it privately as opposed to airing all your dirty laundry in public?
What is it about the internet that makes people think they can do or say whatever they want? You are in these peoples' house. Don't treat them like dirt. If you were over at SpaceBass' house, you wouldn't tell him he's a hypocrite in front of everyone. It's his house, and it's rude behavior. Think of this as the digital extension of his house. Act appropriately.

 		It is the uF policy to not delete posts (especially when people have already responded). While I'm a moderator in some place on uF, I am not a moderator in *this* forum. Just another uF member in here.

So I responded to the inappropriate language in a civil & polite manner, trying to point out the error of his ways. And request that he take another look at the TOS.

Yes, this is SpaceBass' house and we all need to play by his rules (again, the TOS). That means there is not much censorship but there is some ceiling of tolerance that has been breached a few times within the 1-18-08 forum. This has been properly dealt with by the board administrators.
