Oh I'm preaty sure it worked did you go into pain and then press ctrl+v(Paste)?

Just correcting a typo, jjmfdl missed a t on MS Paint (just helping, no offense). Use the Print Screen button to capture the entire screen, or Alt + Print Screen to just capture the active window. Then open Paint (Start->Programs->Accessories->Paint). Make sure the white square that shows up in the new window is smaller than what you are going to paste, otherwise drag the bottom right corner of the white box to make it smaller. Then either press Ctrl+V or go to the menu and choose Edit->Paste. Now you can save the image. By default it will want to save it as a bitmap (BMP). Change this to either a jpeg (jpg) or a PNG to use on the web. Then post away!

You know it's almost cruel to throw out a name in a blog if it doesn't lead anywhere. Especially when we aren't getting squat in terms of new info. Why make it the full name too, just to send us running around in circles?
If it's a game make it a game, if it's not an ARG and just viral marketing --then stuff like this(if it doesn't lead anywhere)is just annoying.

No kidding.

I know this is UF so I probably already know the answer to this one, but here it comes anyway.

Has anyone gone through all the friends of the 7 to see if this person might be listed, even with a different name? If so, I take it nothing came of it, but if not, maybe there could be something in the network.

So Teddy went away before she could step up and do something. They went to Light. That reminded me of this: has it been established so far how each of the 7 are related aside from being in the trailer? Rob and JJ are brothers, got it, but what about the others - long time friends, co workers, etc. has this been established yet? I haven't kept up with the myspace stuff per se, so got behind on what's what so far with the 7.

And in case yeah, here: I'll do it myself. Trout but just a quick recap would be specially appreciated.

I started to go through Jamies' friends page by page looking for a Teddy (because none of her friends are called that) then I got bored and quit. Good idea though.

OK, so everyone totally skipped over the comment by LenaDia with the reference to Rocky Horror Picture Show?
JJ Abrams obviously is having a lot of fun with moderately campy references to very American horror film genre icons of the past, what with "it's alive!" and now this.
Considering the funny nature of the Slusho site, I think it'd be hilarious if this film had a genuinely humorous twist somewhere in it.

I remember seeing somebody asking about any Teddy's on Jamie's friends list. there's this one: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=9311608 but I'm not sure if it's related at all. It doesn't really look like it.

I don't think that's him.
1) All the 7 we know are in their late twenties. He's listed as early.
2) All the 7 have their name as the site address.

Although his preference to horror movies is ironic... or coincidental.

I think that the Teddy site is possibly in game. It was made before the blog, so it'd be very ironic for somebody to make a website with the same name. We'll just have to see how it pans out.

Euchre, thanks for reminding me what that was from. I love that movie, and I knew that quote, but I just couldn't match the two together. Yes, it's very ironic that there are references to American horror/monster movies on almost all of their profiles. Jurassic Park, from Rob's page, has dinosaurs, which were at one point thought to be the monster. Rocky Horror contains references to classic horror/monster movies itself, with Frank N Furter creating Rocky. I think these are just here to cleverly pay homage to past great American horror/monster movies.

Yes, it does look like it's burning the ground, but if you move the little yellow person West up the street a little bit and then look, it'll be doing the same thing into a Jeep Cherokee. Smile

BTW, how do you screencap in Windows?

Ye, it's there all way down Essex Street for example - unfortunately just a reflection of the sunlight. Sad

Edit: I thought, Professor Dimples could be also a trace but Google only leads to a myspace profile that's very much OOG and to a pdf of Kate Wilhelm's The Planners - what's most likely also OOG. Confused

Hey guys, I was wondering if this has any meaning. In the rageofthegods thread http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20715, one of them mentions that an address for an airport is the reg address for godaddy.com, I was just wondering if this has any relevence or if it has been beaten to death. Was just checkin through threads and noticed it.

I dunno what happened there....anyway

The point of the above post was to draw attention to the fact that in this thread http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20715 someone pointed out that the address to an airport was reg with godaddy.com and I was wondering if there was any relevence to it. I'm probably reaching but this is starting to bore slightly Sad

No Teddy in Jamie's friends

OK, so I have a lot of free time on my hands right now, so I went through all of Jamie's friends between the ages of 18-35 and I did not see any profile that looked IG and also looked like someone Jamie would be dating.
Before doing this, it DID seem reasonable that Teddy is hiding among her friends because she's the one that added the most people & created the biggest pile for us to sift through but I certainly didn't find anything that seemed promising. I'm beginning to wonder if "Teddy" isn't a codename or a term of endearment or something and not his real name.

Full disclosure/methodology: if someone had a legit name in their title already, like "Sam" or "John" then I didn't look at the page too closely because presuming having another name means they're not our "Teddy". I didn't really look at female pages, either. Just ones with nonspecific names that might be hiding someone named Ted/Teddy/Edward etc. By the way, there were no Theodores, Edwards, Teds or Teddys that seemed IG either.

After doing all this, though, I have to wonder if we haven't already figured out a clue and its just that nobody took the time to actually do the legwork, but expected someone else to do it for them. I've heard a lot of good ideas, but it seems like the follow-through might be lacking a bit.

Try to think why someone wouldn't do something. They dont have the tools to do them. I dont have a myspace, so when it comes to this department, im like a moron. Thats why we need to work together. dont yell

Not yelling, just offering some constructive criticism since I've read so many emails all over this board suggesting that someone else do something that it makes me wonder if everyone is suggesting and nobody is actually doing. I'm sure I've been guilty of it myself, even though I usually try to contribute something substantive. But I don't think signing up for a bare bones myspace account and looking at names is something that requires a lot of expertise, like an indepth sound analysis; it's something anyone with an email address can do if they are willing to invest 5-10 minutes. However, my comment was only intended to be a general observation - I'm wondering if some really legitimate ideas are getting passed over because people are just suggesting them offhand and nobody is actually exploring them as possibilities.
