I REALLY don't think this movie will have anything to do with TF outside of both being Paramount films (TF being Paramount/Dreamworks). The trailer being attached to the theatrical release is about as connected as their gonna be.

I thought so too until I saw the logo was related to Transformers, unless that's just something Abrams is putting in for nothing.
Point is let's not dismiss it too quickly as this is doesn't appear to be out of game.

Or maybe the original Transformers cartoon movie, since the new Universal characters didn't really resemble the robots on the t-shirt.

I think it's stretching it that the T-shirt is somehow related, given it was featured in a documentary two years ago.
It seems a tad too much to assume it's a hidden message, especially given his preference for T-shirts based on or around popular culture.
I agree that it's a set of cleaned up Transformers profiles, but it has no relation to the movie beyond the original teaser being shown before Transformers , especially as we've already had one big movie this Transformers summer and the next one isn't due for release until 2009.

Honestly, I'm still not convinced it's actual Transformers, can anyone match-up what silouette matches what transformer.
I can't see how it's related to the movie except for inspiration for the Flavor-bot Slusho! page but with so little new stuff it's interesting to look into.

Here's the two pics. Compare the large orange bot to the silhouette of Optimus Prime (the big bot with the large circle in it's chest), you can see that both are holding a gun in their left hand which is pointing toward the ground:
You can also make out Prowl's door 'wings', the second robot from the right.

Thanks Kingpin, I think they may look closer to their comic book versions.

I'm not sure if it is related to Giant Robot magazine; they sell some shirts that depict creatures of mass destruction as well.
It's related to Giant Robot magazine. How do I know? I have the same t-shirt that I got as a handout with a CD from a cute Asian chick promoting the magazine at a club about six years ago. Sad the say, the beer I had that night was a lot better than the magazine I read the next day.

Couldn't agree with you more. Especially the fact that it was a photo from 2 years ago.[/quote]
