I just saw a preview for a new hitman movie in the theaters, so there is a possibility that the commercial and gameplay was similar, also explains the monetary budget. This might be a hitman ARG, who knows, or just a commercial giving props to those who knew about hitman anyways.

Could you explain a little further please? Was there a similar situation in the game?

Yes. That has been explained already though!
I knew there was a Hitman movie coming out, but it's not just a UK release, so why would they hype it only in the UK? Maybe we can try searching for Hitman trailers instead?

Wow, blonde moment there. I really did read the whole thread, just forgot about Chronus's post since. /).- No need to be snappy about it though..

There was no dialogue, unless you count screaming.
I just can't believe I'm the only one staying in the UK whos seen this advert! Although Ive only seen it a few times... even ARGs arent usually this cryptic. Im still searching the net rigorously

I've found nothing about Hitman. The theatrical trailer was released well before the commercial, so still that doesn't suit.

Just a note of interest: despite the possible coolness of the commercial, such a thing could never happen even if the wheel broke it's fetters and was balanced enough to still roll on its side. As can be seen in this photo, the wheel extends out over the River Thames. It would drop into the water.

I do know that there was a supposed scene in the 1-18-08 movie from Coney Island. It involved a big ferris wheel being destroyed.
The problem is we haven't seen a trailer that included that scene.

Can you remember what programme(s) you were watching when you saw this ad? I haven't been watching much telly recently so I haven't seen it, but maybe someone could watch repeats or similar shows and see if it crops up again.

now you can see it! I just saw it two minutes ago. It was the last advert shown in between the Frasier double bill on Paramount Comedy1 that is showing from 3:00pm-4:00pm, so the advert was at 3:30pm. Anyone in england with Sky can see the advert by watching Paramount1+ at around 4:30pm. Switch on a few minutes before to be sure to catch it if you dont want to watch the shows just to see the ad.
Weird that its on Paramount again... but Im sure its not an ad for something theyve done. Their own adverts are usually pretty terrible and just involve clips of shows with bad voiceovers or some sketchy cartoons.

I think Adam meant calling The London Eye, but I thought he meant calling Paramount Comedy and asking about their programming schedule. That led me to look for their website, which has a viewer forum.

Perhaps one of you locals should start a thread there?
Oh wait, someone already has done!

There is a reply but you have to be registered to view it.
Good catch though.
