And here is my chat with bob

Quote:

Bob says:
Evening angel of death.
Angelus says:
Evening Mr Sagat, shame about the cancellation of the show.
Bob says:
Gave out too much money. It's fun to hoarde it all now kid.
Angelus says:
I've yet to hear back from the three st ges.
Bob says:
I hear they got it.
Bob says:
And are quite pissed kid.
Bob says:
I would go against giving addresses.
Angelus says:
T seem a very emotional trio.
Bob says:
Well they do carry blades, but of course they're meant for your throat rather than their own wrists.
Angelus says:
If I were them I would worry more about hanson then about someone bill accidentally spoke to.
Bob says:
I agree completely.
Bob says:
People are constantly blinded by greed, as maybe you are yourself.
Angelus says:
Greed is a dirty word, I prefer seeker of liberation.
Bob says:
Money is liberating hrm?
Angelus says:
Money is a t l, depending on how it's used can tell a great deal.
Bob says:
What may give one freedom may chain one down as well.
Angelus says:
I guess we all give ourselves up to fate, willing or not.
Bob says:
Fate. Fate is the keyword my friend.
Angelus says:
Isn't it always.
Bob says:
A fellow believer I see....
Bob says:
What and apprentice you would make o gabriel of old.
Angelus says:
I would be honored to be an apprentice to fate, you would be surprised at the things I've experienced in life.
Bob says:
I'll save that for another time, another life perhaps.
Bob says:
My recent question is who do you trust angel of death?
Angelus says:
I trust in fate and my instincts, both seem to point me to you.
Bob says:
You are a wise man, but not necessarily smart.
Bob says:
Trust needs to be well placed.
Angelus says:
Trust in its nakedness is as a child, not always the most intelligent but very revealing.
Bob says:
Maybe I should correct myself. There is a spark of brilliance, but you have to know how to use it and more imporantly soon you will need to figure out where trust needs to be placed.
Angelus says:
As some would say the pr f is in the puddin'.
Bob says:
Oh. I'd like you to do a small favor for me.
Angelus says:
I am all ears.
Bob says:
Tell your friend Jason to stop chatting about Playboy and Maxim to me.
Bob says:
It's quite annoying.
Angelus says:
*laughs* playboy and maxim
Bob says:
I don't trust him.
Angelus says:
Now that is a curious thing to say, I can't say I know a jason but if he's been following my words then he'll see your annoyance.
Bob says:
I would hope so. I can choose to leave but I feel nice as of late.
Angelus says:
which reminds me, an interesting reference when you said max in that encoded message.
Bob says:
What could you mean?
Angelus says:
a certain person by the name of Max Lucado.
Angelus says:
confess my sins to another so that I may become like jesus
Bob says:
I cannot say anything to that
Bob says:
But I will say one thing
Bob says:
What is said six times you will need to remember
Bob says:
Good luck.
Angelus says:
thank you
Bob says:
I'll leave you to my pawns now.
Bob says:
Goodbye angel of death.
Bob says:
You might want to research into your own name perhaps.
Angelus says:
I think I may do that

new email from bob

just got a new piece of email from bob (foldednight)

Trust.

As well as this love letter from jack tretton

Quote:

I want the gold Angelus. Frankly, I don't trust ya, not a bit. Ya seem a bit shady for my tastes showin up out of nowhere, barely getting net on the way to the canyon. If there isn't nothin there kid, remember what Bill said, you got shit in store for yourself. Deep. Shit.

Edit: Just had a nice chat with bob and here it is

Quote:

Bob says:
Evening o angel.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Evenin' pardner
Bob says:
Texan tonight hrm?

Bob says:
And how are you on this beautiful night?

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Paying homage to the saint of killers. I'm doing ok and you
Bob says:
I'm alright
.
Bob says:
Congratulations on leading them as I have planned.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
I hope it will not come back to bite me in the arse.
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
I found your most recent email to be a bit curious.
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
What outcome do you see for their trip to the grand canyon
Bob says:
Why tell you now when you have the suprise to see later.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
As long as I am around to see the outcome of later events then I will be happy in that small fact.
Bob says:
Well you'll be glad to know you may progress farther now, as my word has said.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
How should I proceed this time
Bob says:
I'll leave that mystery for you.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
When do you imagine t will arrive at the grand canyon
Bob says:
Wednesday, my guess. Bruce seems like quite the eater though.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Bruce is a hired thug with what seems to be a lack in braincells.
Bob says:
Got that right.

Bob says:
None of them are really brilliant in my opinion.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Bill may have some intelligence, when put up against the others anyway.
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Buck slightly more then Bruce, Bruce being at the bottom of the intelligence ladder.
Bob says:
Making mental notes? Maybe when all this is over I will make you a generous offer.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
My curiousity boils over at the idea.
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
I only hope I am still around when 'all this is over'.
Bob says:
If so, the offer will stand.

Bob says:
I will be brief. I do not plan on killing you, but I've read what Bill wrote and they very much will.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
The idea that you were going to never seem to slip into my mind, as for bill and the others I would never doubt it.
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
As for your words 'may it pave the way' that does puzzle me.
Bob says:
I can't just make it easy.

Bob says:
May I ask a personal question?

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Certainly.
Bob says:
Do you prefer checkers or chess?

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
If I had to make a choice between the two I hate to say I would have to ch se checkers, strategy needed in chess was never my strong point.
Bob says:
Good. You made the right choice.
Bob says:
Checkers is my kind of game as well.
Bob says:
You might want to remember that.
Bob says:
I must depart. I will be in contact later, that is if you get to where I think you are, and if you're as smart as I'm starting to see you may be.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
I hope I can prove myself up to the task.
Bob says:
As do I angel of death.

Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Farewell for now.

What, does he actually think you're going to go to the Grand Canyon? Wink

Edit: And "may it pave the way" makes me think of the yellow brick road

I think he means puzzle wise Wink as for the 'may it pave the way' I think it may be referring to skywalk, a project in the grand canyon.

New email from bob when I asked by skywalk:

Quote:

That giant horseshoe? No, uncanny though. You'll hopefully know what it means in time.

Have you found your next clue? If not I must be quite the harlequin. You might want to regroup and understand what you already know, it very well may be right under your nose.

my recent chat with bob:

Quote:

Bob says:
Having fun yet?
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Oh a great deal of fun.
Bob says:
So you've found it I presume?
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
presumptions and assumptions, bedfellows both.
Bob says:
Then I'll now take it as that you have not.
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Unfortunately no.
Bob says:
Hrm. How sad-making.
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
You don't know the half of it, very frustrating.
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
A picture that just refuses to develope.
Bob says:
What they call "Brain Fart"?
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
That is one way to put it.
Bob says:
It's nothing new, just add another slash.
Bob says:
Just like with the roaming gnome, just type in the destination and go.
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Interesting.
Bob says:
Oh did I pique your interest with that one?
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
an extension to the prelim is what you seem to be saying.
Bob says:
There are many surprises to come kid.
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Somehow that's not surprising.
Bob says:
No answer?
Bob says:
There is no all of the above either.
Bob says:
Stumped eh?
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Like a sailor with bad luck.
Bob says:
But a sailor with a good idea is one who can rake in much capital.
Bob says:
Do you have that good idea, angel of death?
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
why is time a factor in this next clue
Bob says:
Why would you ever guess that?
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
your comment to a mutual friend seems to give the impression that time is running out before a surprise.
Bob says:
Ah. Miss Bennett correct?
Angelus Ex Mortis says:
Aye, she is a doll.
Bob says:
Not your doll I'm guessing.
Bob says:
As for what you stated before, I'm afraid I have nothing left to say on the matter.

Checkers

I think by checkers he means to take out "all their pieces" one by one.
Also, I seem to be thinking of Roads paved with Gold. El Dorado, anyone?

The reason you're having problems with "tridecalogism" is because it isn't a real word. I make up words all the time, and I can spot 'em a mile away. (Dictionary.com agrees with me, for what it's worth.) But in the spirit of made up words, it isn't hard to see what it is -- a thirteen-letter word. The initial use of the word was in a sentence with 'contradictory' -- which is, in this case, a tridecalogism.

The front of the block of code ("uuur") means it's not a straight encryption. They seem to be fond of vigenere, so that's where I'd start.

At the end of the encrypted bit, there's a straight plaintext "hcmonty" ... that's weird.

What's the order of those words? It could be a multiple vigenere in the order that we found the clues.

Unfortunately I am certain that the 'clues' I found in the picture

Quote:

intercommunal, ineffectual, appoggiatura, zooxanthella, interknitting

are incorrectly spelled as they are presented in the picture.

Edit: There is one thing I've managed to figure out about the 'clues' and that is that they all seem to be 13 letter words.
