wow i was busy for a few days and the dam broke loose...

at first glance i would say maybe st. louis for the "new gate"
theres plenty of real and fictional people who've fled to france when they bankrupted...i think the key is the two brothers, and the incestual lies

also the crumpets to cotton has me thinking 19th century

Just so everyone knows...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Moll Flanders is a the title character in the novel The Fortunes and Misfortunes of the Famous Moll Flanders by Daniel Dafoe. She was born in "Newgate" Prison, then left to the US with her mother. She eventually became a household servant where "two brothers" fell for her. The older she slept with, the younger she married. The younger died, thus leaving her a widow. She remarried, seeking a husband by portraying that she had a fortune, but this husband went "bankrupt and left for France". Her third husband meets her mother in law and discovers that this is her biological mother and she had "incestual lies" with her half-brother (as in she slept with him). She then goes on a quest of marrying men for their money, and she only cares "about money", but comicly always ends up flat broke and with many children whom she neglects and leaves in the charge of others. She continues her robbing ways, is eventually jailed, sent back to Newgate prison, resleased on her repetence and remarries one of her previous beaus. they move to the Carolinas and start a "cotton" plantation. She also reunites with her half brother and her son by him.

So, yeah, the answer is definitely Moll Flanders.

Are you tired yet? I would be....

Am I teasing your brain?

I can't promise we'll be leaving shortly...

The image is some sort of chemical equation. I think we can work backward to figure out which compound it is. I think our dear Physics professor should get this one right away.

It looked really familiar, but I had to look it up. It's called Creutz-Taube complex and is widely used to study electron transfer reactions, which won Taube the Nobel Prize.

Where are you guys sending the answers?

Yeah, I'm on MSN with him now. He said it was the key.

So I guess we wait until he unlocks. I'll let you know when that's been done.
