Haha, sorry, I've been accused of being a puppet master in this thing before on this forum...

anyway, what makes you think Lydia is a puppet master?

Anyway, here's some facts for those who are interested, because this ARG is really just about to get really interesting.

First, Brody's (the filmmaker) blog: http://brodoc.blogspot.com/

It is unwise to post comments, as in game he believes his blog is private....

Next, a countdown. On the 48-hours.net site, if you click the arrow above the box in bottom right hand corner of the screen, it takes you to a password protected section. The username and password were not well hidden, the source code reveals the address of the location where they are kept. Anyway:
username: brodoc
password: heroin

This takes you to another page, a picture with a link "vlog" above it. Clicking "vlog" takes you to ANOTHER password protected site. This one was difficult to guess, the answer was hidden in one of his blogs.
username: brodoc
password: diary

This takes you to the countdown. You can go there directly by clicking here: http://www.48-hours.net/outland/when.html

What it is counting down to, I don't know...

For further information and to join a group that has been following this ARG from the beginning and are dedicated to solving it, go here:
http://fortyeight.freeforums.org/index.php

edit: And I forgot to mention another hidden page. Go to the "Contact" section of the site, click on the New York location on the interactive map. It will take you to http://www.48-hours.net/purgatorium.html These slides represent chapters and subjects past and present and future of the ARG. Solving the slides is a big part of this puzzle.

Take...who are you? You should know that unfiction has a policy about puppetmasters posting on their forums (they're a bit pissy when it comes to their rules).

Would you kindly post any hints or clues or help you maybe offering at our forum instead?

I'll be brief. Unfictioners are still wanted and needed in the 48 Hours game at fortyeight.freeforums.org if now more than ever.

The discussion updates TOO much to be posted on two forums so we keep it at the IG one.

You're gonna have to trust me when I say that if you really want to play an ongoing indepth, suspenseful ARG that has a planned beginning middle and end, 48 hours is something you want to check out.

The game shapes around you, remember that.

Will

OMG!!

I tried registering at that 48 hour forum and for some reason I can't lol. I enter my info then there's a little validation equation on the bottom where it says something like 6+3=

So, you type in 9 and it says the result is incorrect. Then it gives you something else simple like 7-2=, but once again you type 5 and it says the result is wrong. I did this like 6 or 7 times answering with the number it was, or spelling out the answer like "five". Hell, one time I repeated the equation itself and still got nowhere.

Must've been rigged by the same people that do that "Smarter than a Fifth Grader" show. Laughing

Edit: Shocked I just tried it again and instead of entering the equation result myself (the equation was 6-4= ), I had my wife type the answer. As expected she typed "2" and unexpectedly it actually worked!
Maybe I'm an Indigo and making the forum malfunction or something. Whatever the problem was, very strange.

Did you just click enter and your wife maybe CLICK ON the submit button? It happened like that for me [press enter, doesn't work; click submit it does]

Nope, I clicked Submit each time because I ran into that problem before when I was registering at another forum. So, I always hit the submit button and never assume that just hitting enter will do it.

But, that's definitely a good theory because that has happened to me before Smile

Alright, glad to see so many new members.
Two things,
Please please PLEASE read the FAQ first just so you know what's going on. If you have ANY questions at all, PM me here or there at ANY time and I'll get back to you

Two, ignore the person by the name of Icarus. He's just always a dick to newcomers, better to ignore.

More are welcome but to you new ones, welcome from me and the whole team.
