Weekly Affinity $b deadline is 12mid/9p Pacific on Wednesday night. If you don't have time to visit the forum to conversate with the rest of us, you can just "save" your Office Favorites 20 times to earn your $100.

Task deadline is tomorrow. If you don't have time to create an ASCII art, email me and I'll send you a generic one to upload.

OK, I got my first assignment done (ASCII ART) and uploaded it to the branch. Also, got my first bucks by pressing on the favorites, save button 20 times. I was excited to get the ascii art up as last year could not submit any of my projects. Then I tried e-mailing you through the reply button from the Welcome mail and got this message:

"The following error has occurred:"

with no explanation of what error occurred, so not all the bugs are ironed out yet. Could not e-mail.

The reply button on the welcome email won't work b/c it's an auto-generated message when you are hired into a branch.

But I saw you were back (and we're so happy to see you again).
I hope this year you'll visit in the forums. We have some lively discussions, games, and humor happening. And we have a new official motto (and seal with our motto in Latin).

FROM: Human Resources, Dunder Mifflin Infinity

TO: All Dunder Mifflin Infinity Employees

SUBJECT: Business Ethics Video and Voting

This week saw a lot of activity as our employees were busy creating new logos and mission statements for their branches. Voting concluded at the branch level for the ASCII Art task, and a new task was released to coincide with "Business Ethics," the latest installment of the Scranton documentary.

BUSINESS ETHICS VIDEO
Dunder Mifflin takes business ethics very seriously. After some recent ethical lapses, we've decided to increase employee awareness of exactly what is and what is not acceptable moral business behavior. In order to revamp the corporate mandated ethics seminar, we're asking you to script and film an ethical situation from a list of provided topics.

The videos should pose an ethical question and demonstrate the corresponding ethical answer. This is an opportunity for you to be wildly creative. The tone of the videos is up to you: they can be serious, funny, tongue in cheek, whatever strikes your fancy, as long as they help educate our employees about what is acceptable and unacceptable Dunder Mifflin behavior.

ASCII ART FINAL VOTING
Final voting has begun for the ASCII Art Task. The deadline for submitting your vote is 3 PM PT/6 PM ET Thursday, October 16, 2008.

MISSION STATEMENT BRANCH VOTING
Branch voting has also begun for the Mission Statement Task. The deadline for submitting your vote is 12 PM PT/3 PM ET Thursday, October 16, 2008.

BRANCH LOGO TASK DEADLINE EXTENDED
Earlier this week we posted a fix to our Branch Logo Creator application, to solve a problem in saving and displaying our employees' new logos. Because of this issue, we've extended the submission deadline for this task to 12 PM PT/3 PM ET Monday, October 13, 2008.

Have a DMI day!

Sincerely,
Human Resources Dept.
Dunder Mifflin Infinity

Task 2.4 is up. Welcome to the baby shower. Time to guess the babies.
If you paid attention to the episode, 3 of the pictures were identified by Angela. Some are obvious. Some you can tell by the eyes. Then it's just a process of elimination.

Or you can just use this list:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Andy - Holly - Darryl - Kelly - Angela - Phyllis - Creed - Meredith - Kevin - Stanley - Oscar - Dwight - Ryan

We're voting for the new Elizabeth Branch logo (remember, there are two pages so be sure to click NEXT to see some great options on page 2).

JillShines created our new branch mission statement and her entry in the Corporate level is buried on page 3. We need as many uF friends to click on this link and scroll down to the middle in order to vote for her (you do not have to be logged in or even playing DMI to vote for this statement).
http://www.dundermifflininfinity.com/tasks2/globalvote?week=41&from=48&cp=3

Task 2.3 (the Ethics video) is worth $200 Sb. If you don't have a video, we have a generic version available. Please email me a request and I'll send it to you!

You can always do the old tasks, they won't show up for voting, but you get the Task $bs for it.

We have a generic video that LaurenAct made for anyone in our branch to upload so you can get the $bs (and we won't vote for it). Email me and I'll send it to you.

I played this game last year. You don't ever win any prizes.
NBC's IT people screwed up their servers for the umteenth time. Then they sent out e-mails to everyone accusing them of cheating to cover there own IT butts. We finally got them to admit that it was there fault but a large chunk of us were still penalized and we were told that they would not apologize for their mistake or correct the points. I know a large group, myself included over a week told them to shove their prize less game and thanked them for wasting our time.
This game belongs in TIME WASTERS
Evil or Very Mad

I'm not playing it for the prizes. But I'll take them if they give them!

Prizes were never promised in the beginning of DMI. But later on, they were offered for Corporate level winners. The cheat for excessive $bs for Task 15 was ridiculous. I didn't participate. And that Task didn't have any prizes anyway.

For real, Corporate level winners have gotten The Office stuff from the NBC store, and some got signed scripts.
This year, for the viewing parties, they sent out a lot of store stuff and I got a "The Office" lunch box.

Most of us play for the social aspects of DMI and the challenge of doing the Tasks. This past week gave us cast baby pictures that was exclusive content you can't see anywhere else - so playing the Baby Shower game for Task 2.4 was pretty fun.

I just finished my Ethics Video this weekend. I'll post it on my YouTube soon.

Elizabeth NJ's Wednesday Night Viewing Party.
9:30p Eastern/6:30pm Pacific.
http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/video/viewingparty/

Login with your DMI account, go to the lobby and look for the room with konamouse as the host (don't worry about the number of seats available).

Room will open around 15 min before the show.

Also, weekly Affinity $bs deadline is 12mid Eastern/9p Pacific. If you haven't logged in this week, you still have time to earn $100 Sb just by leaving comments in profiles, posting in the forum, or just "save" your Office Favorites 20 times.

Weekly tasks can be done any time for the $bs (if you are not in a competative spirit). Check up thread for the answers to the babyshower quiz (worth $260 Sb) if you aren't sure of your identification abilities. And we have a generic video for the Ethics Video task (worth $200 Sb) if you need it.

Any DMI Elizabeth employee who wants $200 Sb can email (konamouseSPLATyahoo.com) for a generic video. There is no deadline for any of the Tasks in 2.0 - so if you have done some of them, you can log in and do them at any time for the $bs.

It's a Crime if you don't visit DMI this week.
10-24-08 Regional Manager Message

What did you think of Crimes at The Office this week? Poor Dwight? Did you see the "Save the Date" invitation on http://angelaandy.com?

How would you feel about getting robbed? Turns out we didn't, but we are finding some stolen office items on our desks. Task 2.5 is all about visiting Elizabeth branch employee profiles and finding the items that pay the rewards. Our current Employee Of The Week, pertyboy2, along with bugdaddy, Madam_Rosmerta, bugalex, LaurenAct513, crochunter251 and our puppy, DEScranton all helped find the items worth up to $250 sb (you have to click on the profiles, then click on the stolen item on the desks to earn your rewards). This task has a deadline (Thursday, Oct 30th) so visit our branch thread here: http://boards.dundermifflininfinity.com/index.php?showtopic=18161 to get all the clues you need.

Ethics Videos (Task 2.3) are being processed by HR – voting in our Branch will start Monday. All branch winners will be further evaluated by HR and only the very best will be up for Corporate vote. Even if you missed the deadline, you can still earn $200 sb with a video upload (email me for a generic one that meets the criteria).

Mission Statement winner: JillShines. Runners up: Latent_moths, Heatherlynn, LaurenAct513, and konamouse. Meanwhile, our new Branch logo should be available by Monday!

Halloween is just around the corner - Elizabeth will be hosting a party thread in the Corporate Breakroom forum. If you want a fun costume to post, leave your headshot in the Halloween thread here: http://boards.dundermifflininfinity.com/index.php?showtopic=14820 and LaurenAct513 will put you in one.

Stay tuned for our first Employee Of The Month!
Hugs, konamouse (your Super Silly/Super Sexy (in a geeky way) Regional Manager
