Is this what Jamie is trying to quoete, can't find much else.

I agree that this seems like some kind of clue, because it was so weird and seemed a little bit awkward when she said it, but I did the same search you did and that's all I came up with too. The only connection I can think of is the SlushoBots page that has stars, the sky and a "flower" on it, but I definitely didn't find anything on there. And frozen = slusho? Other than that, I can't figure this out.

Well there ARE indeed flowers that do miss the sun. They live, of course, at the bottom of the ocean, where they get their nutrients from volcanic gasses rather than the sun. They don't flower in the traditional sense, methinks, but they still are plants.

Would this maybe be a reference to the great undersea flower thingie magical tasty-love?

It is a real absurd thing to say unless it does mean something.

It could just mean that Jamie is a ditz. Not knowing how to work the camera is one thing, but that part of the video where she lamely tries to be poetic says volumes about her character... "as in, she aint got any!" (to be read in the voice of Johnny Caspar, from Miller's Crossing).

I dunno that she lacks THAT much character, but she's obviously not well-read....even if she reads books at all, they're not important enough for her to list among her likes and dislikes (come to think of it, if the video IS shot in her apartment, it's pretty damn bare of not only bookshelves, but just about anything else beyond a bed and lamp).

The Knight's Tale quote is fairly close, although I would've thought JJ might have dropped that movie in among Jamie's faves as confirmation of the clue; since it's not, I'm not *entirely* convinced that it didn't come from another source. And since we agree that she doesn't read poetry (or books in general), I'm thinking that song lyrics could be closer to the mark. She *does* listen to a lot of eclectic music.

...so anybody know of any song lyrics that might be close..???

Lines like that are more or less cliche', and not so much in the negative sense. Fumbling over the lines I believe really is just beating down her role as the ditsy blond. I mean, come on, she described her last night with Teddy as "pretty redic". I think she was just digging for something quasi-profound to express how she felt, and isn't a poet, so she repeats just enough to get the association with the original.

Hmmm...maybe a clue having to do with the unusually warm winter night on Jan 18? Missing sun and flowers in the depths of winter and all that (I know its a WAG, but there you go).

That's true -- they could really be driving that point home, it's still seems out of place and awkward though.

Apparently people actually live like that.... My statement about that earlier in the thread was shot down.

Ummmm... if you were to take a picture of my bedroom (Yes, a lady does reside there) from the same angle that Jamie took hers, it would look pretty much the same.

EDIT: And no... I'm not a 20 something. But she is. Cool

Concur. When my apt gets cleaned on the occasion my gf comes over and demands it, outside of the music gear strung all over the living room that she doesn't know what to do with, the bedroom is just as bare.

EDIT: I am a 20 something.

We can all agree that a bare bedroom is nothing to be judged by - my walls are very bare as well, and I have no bookshelves by my bed. We're not so shallow as to judge people by such things. But, we can judge people - nay, fictional characters - by the way they ACT. And, Jamie acts like something of a stereotypical ditzy blonde. (no offense to blonde-haired people - we're talkin' stereotypes and fictional characters).

Remember, people, she aint real - she's made up - a character. And, she's made up to be pretty two-dimensional, and not - apparently - very bright or 'deep' in any way. She "loves" and misses this Teddy guy - and, to express her deepest feelings, she says things like "it was pretty redic" and "I miss you like the sun misses... whatever."

I'm just sayin'.... she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
