kolixela and tygr20 make valid points. However, I think they are both wrong.

If it was indeed just a graphic problem, the frequency dial would still be sensitive in the miniature mode. You just wouldn't see the decimal points changing. The frequency would stay the same over several "clicks" of the dial .
But this is not the case. The frequencies change every single "click" of the dial.

So this has to be something programmed in to the flash file itself. Right?

Or like that backwards talking midget mated with Asteroids and Ms. Pacman

The clicks may become clearer when mixed with the forthcoming nodes 4, 5 and 6???

The west coordinate for node 3 is different on the dearther site
102.650119
than on the actual
103.640119
and a pair of threes are missing from node2
Just a typo???

gotta be something to that

missing 33

and a difference of 101 on the other.

I don't think we have seen ANY typos in this game. So far anything like that has turned out to be a clue.

alright. After a lot of ime listening to the garbled talking "message" I think it says the following:

Dear God, Thunder Mountain is down!

Thunder Mountain is down!

Thunder is down!

Thunder Mountain, OH NO!

Thunder Mountain, OH NO! HELP!

DEAR GOD!!!

Then it repeats. Although it is garbled, and might not even intended to sound like talking, I think hat might be whatever that thing is trying to tell us.

Speculation and comments are welcome Razz

There's a repeated phrase in there that sounds like a question to Thunder Mountain... that ends with "please advise".

hmmmm...

I'll have to listen for that, but I personally did not hear "please advise".

But I think it may as well be confirmed that whoever/whatever is talking in the message is talking to some entity/person/base called "Thunder Mountain". Its really the only thing that is fully comprehensible if ya ask me...

Thunder Mountain

The first thing I thought of when I heard Thunder Mountain was NORAD. The wiki entry on it says it's unofficially referred to as Cheyenne Mountain. Similar. And if NORAD goes down, I'd probably scream 'Dear God' into a radio too.

There is a Thunder Mountain Monument. It does have something to do with Native Americans, but it's in Nevada, so it's a bit outside of our map.

new Frequency

We've found a new voice that only shows up on node 3

VHF
Frequency 214
Azimuth 129.5

If you're curious as to what the chat thinks is being said:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Hey, it's me.... I'm in Wichita... You know I wont use my name."

Holy F**K! They it the clearest one I've heard so far! The voice is clear, comprehensible, and completely un-garbled! That is an excellent find!!!

It is indeed a good find. However, it does pose several question:

Is the frequency significant?

Who is this woman?

Why is she in Wichita?

and, most important of all:

What the heck is going on here???

Hey Het. You are absolutely right. We need to decipher the meaning of this new twist. Thanks for keeping up. "Good luck storming the castle!"

for some reason, on the Thunder Mountain Message, if I set the Node 3 Azimuth to 184.5 I can hear the "PLEASE ADVISE" alot clearer.. those words are absolutely said, no doubt in my mind.. as for it being clearer on that azi, it may just be in my head... but it works for me.. dunno

The "Please Advise!" seems to be in a higher pitch

EDIT: ive been messing around shutting off the power of one node and listening to just two of them.. with some words it seems to work better...as i said before though.. could just be mental

EDIT: one of the "Thunder Mountain" 's seems to have a "You There" after it.. This stuff is HARD.. very fitting for TT...heh

EDIT: Wow.. one line just seriously sounded like

"Doctor Malcolm is dead, oh, please advise!"

listen to it, thinking those words.. the more I hear it, the more its sounding like DOCTOR MALCOLM IS DEAD...im telling you..

ANOTHER EDIT: Ok .. now it sounds like Thunder Mountain.. But it sounds like "is dead" after it still.. that doesnt make sense though... could they mean the Radio Frequencies coming from Thunder Mountain Are dead? and the "Dear God" is "Please Advise" now that I think of it..

First of all, let it be known that the 27 MHz message is slightly different on node 3 now. It's a bit clearer, and the message is longer.

Second, here is the 214 signal. I slowed it down, pitched it down, and cleared the speech up a bit. I've heard different theories of what she says. I hear:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Hey, It's me. I'm in Wichita. No, I won't use my name.

Also, the way she says it implies (to me, at least) that she is talking to an accomplice of sorts. Imagine this fake scenario:
A man and woman plot to kill someone in Wichita. Once the woman gets there, she calls her partner.

Her: "Hey It's me."
Him: "Where are you?"
Her: "I'm in Wichita."
Him: (something to effect of) "Will you sign in to the hotel as [whatever her real name is]?"
Her: "No, I won't use my name."

Or something like that... Confused

Anyway, here's the audio file.

I also hear "Dr. Malcom is dead" and "Please Advise"

I think it's Dr. Malcom is dead, over.. Dr. Malcom is dead.. over Dr. Malcom is dead, over. Please Advise.

I am fairly certain the voice on node 3 is new. If you scan the frequencies slowly you can detect the other file because the white noise skips when it restarts, I had done a scan like that on all 3 nodes on all frequencies last week and found nothing. When rescanning it today I was able to find the new message fairly quickly on node 3. I did not detect any more messages as of this point.

I think this is the new RED CLOUD page for us, wait and see as more messages are coded in and released.

New message!
And it's weird....

Node 3, 267 MHz (VHF), azimuth 87.5

It says:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Hello? Can anybody hear me? This is Burnstown/Boy's Town. We got guns. We killed the adults. Anybody?"

The message repeats twice. The first time around, it sounds like "Burnstown", and the second time around, it sounds like "Boy's Town"

Yikes...
