The things one stumbles across on YouTube!
So... I was looking around the LG15 YouTube pages, and on 10033's (Brother's) account, I saw a very ARGish comment posted from someone calling herself Maria, and at the YouTube account Subject137.

Well, I go there and find a website, phone number, email address...

I haven't investigated it a lot, but all of it seems quite ARGish. I'm not sure if it actually is an ARG, but if not then it's a 'realistic' story with some character interaction.

 		Whelp, watched all the videos and shot off an email asking how many she has. Looks somewhat interesting anyway.

Anyone else who watched The Interview feel that he's saying he's from Boston?

Btw, I'm new...I was waiting for something new to crop up, so I figured I'd jump in. ^.^ Hopefully this will be fun.

I noticed on the website the "Maria" person asks for help hearing the conversation at the end of video Day 2. I listened and e-mailed a little transcript. Hopefully it isn't stuff the person already knows or finds not helpful. I guess I should spoiler it?

At this point, I can't really tell what to think about this. I haven't tried calling the phone number, maybe I will soon? Here's the reply:

Ah, ARG phone numbers. Don't get nervous when you hear ringing--worst case scenerio, you just have the wrong number. Best case scenerio, you get a live, in-character chat with the game characters! Smile

 		Hey All...this looks COOL...i watched the videos and the only thing i noticed was "tom" took the candy and he didnt seem to notice the actual camera filming him theres also some whispers between him and her as she leaves but i cant make it out but it sounds like "i miss you" or something....

SHE REPLIED..notthin real good though the usual...

anyone know chess? when tom knocks over the chess pieces "rex" puts them back but not in starting position he moves a couple of the black? pieces and just before the video cuts he goes to make a move and it looks like a checkmate in one move on his part...but i dont know chess..

I'm new to this, so I don't really know how to analyze video or do anything fancy yet. Can anyone think of any more questions I should ask Maria? I also realized I missed her in the chatroom this weekend. I'll try and remember that. I did a search on the number 137, it's apparently a very significant number in physics. http://www.137.com/137/ Relevance? Dunno. ^.^

Also, again, (I just keep editing this darn post.) I'm wondering, what if this was a test conducted on people with violent tempers? Or maybe violent convicts. The "Rex" person in the newest video seems to be irritable and agitated as well. Perhaps they needed people with these specific anger disorders or convictions for this test. It could have been difficult for them to find subjects who hadn't been sent back to jail, weren't on probation, or they could access secretly. Maria mentions on the video description page that she wonders if it was difficult for them to find. I emailed her with this theory.

Edit: I just noticed something that may or may not be helpful. On the Day 19 video, the painting on the wall lines up with the table "Rex" and Tommy are sitting at. It seems to be like an extension of the table. Or maybe I'm just looking at it wrong. I don't know what the significance of the painting is, and Maria asks about them on the Subject 137 site as well.

 		Hey all
Hey guys, I'm new to ARG but I read this seemed like an easy one to get started with, so here I am just to throw in my two cents.
Ok, moving on to in game things, not that this isn't obvious or anything, but I just wanted to toss it out there, since no one else has yet: has anyone noticed Maria's avatar on the Subject137 message boards is a white rabbit. Of course, in Alice in Wonderland the further one chases the white rabbit, the further down the hole one goes. And considering Maria boldens her questions on the Subject137 website, I think it's pretty obvious those are the questions the game wants us to focus on.
Anyways, getting off the obvious and on to some actual research, my focus at the moment is the number 137. I mean, this "person" who sent Maria the tapes could have sent the tapes of any other of the 136 test subjects, so why was number 137 so important? Why not "Rex"? Well, after googling 137, I too found the http://www.137.com/137 website. I'm not sure that they are related in game, but I searched for a few of the names on the article on Wikipedia and most were just physicists with nothing of interest. One, however, had a quote. His name is Victor Frederick Weisskopf, and he was very interested in the number 137. The quote on wikipedia reads
"Human existence is based upon two pillars: Compassion and knowledge. Compassion without knowledge is ineffective; knowledge without compassion is inhuman."
The real point of interest for me is the "knowledge without compassion is inhuman" part. It just seems to tie in to this game, the way the Doctors are studying the subjects while putting him through pain. Anyways, I'm not sure how Victor ties in, but he just seemed interesting to me, and from what I hear, in ARG's anything that seems important, is important. Well, that's my two cents...for now anyways.
