You guys are braver than I am; just being near woods in the dark sets my ape-brain a-screamin' and a-throwin' poop.

Add the fact that being devoured by a shoggoth is not out of the question?! Noooooo thank you!

Ah when you grow up around a land of haunted scary things I'm pretty sure that no matter what may get thrown at me on this adventure will be nothing compared to the traumatic adventures growing up in a land of haunted stories where the people really take them quite seriously and consequently love to add fuel to the fire by actually taking the experience pretty close to the bitter end!... (An axe was literally swung just above my head and a gun fired very close by just to name a few... Confused ) That's why I'm very excited about trying to see where this goes so that I can plan ahead... Guess I'll ahve to know the location asap so that I can actually see if I can realistically make it before time runs out... The way I see it though, worst case scenario I show up late on friday night when things have already started and the horrorfest is just beginning... now THAT would be interesting if I showed up in the middle of some crazy Cthulu related horrorfest... Don't know what I'd do at that point... hehe...

Now that would be tight.

"So what'd you do last weekend?"

"Oh, I saved a bunch of friends from being devoured by dream-monsters. And then I nearly went insane as Cultists plagued me with nightmares... finally culminating to a group of us having to confront a bunch of dudes in orange robes who were trying to summon an ancient God of Chaos. So... not much. You?"

Heck yeah... after your awesome description of what could potentially happen I almost certainly have to go on this excursion and bring a video camera to boot if I can get my hands on a pretty decent one for the journey... then we can actually have a Blair-dritch project going on... That would quite honestly have to be the greatest story ever... now I can only hope that this adventure ends up putting me in a place where I can realistically get to from my current location in Central NY... hmm... perhaps a few prayers to the gods of Cthulu might enhance my odds of that happening... Wink

I got this in my inbox yesterday afternoon

From: Foresight Property Management Arrangements <arrangements>
Subject: Reservation Ticket (#200710-187)

Quote:
Dear Mr./Ms. Providence,

This email is to confirm that your new reservation ticket (#200710-187) is now active: billing has already been handled by an existing account holder. We look forward to welcoming you and your companions personally as new patrons. Currently our staff is seeking the best property in the Eastern West Virginia area for October 26th through 28th to meet your special health needs.

Several of our properties in that area could have additional cots brought in to provide comfortable sleeping for up to 8, but if your group could be larger than that you might want to make contingencies for additional bedding or air mattresses. Please advise if the severity of the sensitivity of your group requires the removal televisions and telephones and we will do our best to prepare the property according to your needs.

Just as we value your privacy, we also value the privacy of our property owners. Our deepest apologies that the exact details of your accommodations won't be provided until closer to your departure date.

Thank you for using Foresight Property Management for your therapeutic retreat needs, and we hope the tranquil mountains of West Virginia provide the soothing tranquility you and your friends are seeking.

I did a DNS lookup, and the foresightpropertymanagement.com domain is registered by GMD Studios. Looks like it's another in-game site. I haven't gone through it, yet, however...

I did. Started a thread for it here (just in case stuff changes or it becomes useful).

Okay, so there's another IG spot. I'm betting something bad will happen in the resort.

that was a modified scene from the Blair Witch movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0185937/quotes

humorous, but not from a new site -- i read "another IG site" as referring to that scene, but i believe it was just a comment about how this property management site is ingame.

Weekend Mystery Party??? BTS???

The following was posted by the principal PM in another thread. Have to wonder if this is foreshadowing the upcoming weekend. So that is why it's spoilered

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Nearly half of a book like Cthulhu Live would actually be good reading for PMs -- not only do you have FIVE recipes for fake blood, you also have the advice to tell property owners you're running a "murder mystery party" to avoid all the messy questions of what you're really up to.

"murder mystery party"

Aw man, now I really wish I could go. This sounds like a lot of scary fun, as long as it doesn't end up being one of us. Wink
