[POSSIBLE ARG?] London Eye
Strange English commercial with no product

There's this ad in England that begins with two kids cleaning the camera lense and then moving out of the way to show that it is focused on the London Eye (huge sight-seeing Ferris Wheel type thing that was built in Greenwich for Y2K celebrations.) The bolts fly off and the wheel rolls away with the people on it screaming, and then the whole thing ends.

Its been airing for maybe a week now, so perhaps in a short while longer there'll be a longer version that shows its to advertise something really boring, but it also seems like it could be the beginning of a contest or an ARG.

Ill see if I can find a copy of it somewhere on the web, but hopefully some of you Brit UFers have seen it already.

Haven't seen anything of the like, and I've asked people I know personally and they've not seen or heard of this either

Wow, that reminds me of the disaster at the beginning of the game, Hitman: Blood Money. That involved a falling ferris wheel, too.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The first person you have to "take care of" sabotaged a ferris wheel, killing the client's son, among others.

Woah, I think I may have found something like it.
Probably not the commercial and oog, but, here you go:

Also, it's EXTREMELY low tech.

Not sure about Quiet's commercial, but the vid I found and the site you found, degravedi seem to be directly related. The date (2005) supports that.

Was there any text on the commercial you saw, Quiet?

Nope, no text at all. Thats what really lead me to believe it might be the start of something. It just ended abruptly, I think with some static like the video cut out.

The actual effects werent low budget either, the camera was fixed and you could clearly see the Eye rolling away. It seemed like maybe the kids at the beginning were supposed to have set up the whole thing.

Can I ask what channels(s) you've seen it on? Might help the search.

I remember it was on Paramount yesterday, and I think ITV1 as well.

Wow, we may have stumbled upon two similar, yet unrelated, ARG Trailheads, here!

I'm going to keep looking around in youtube for that commercial.
