Trademark infringement or not, it's still fake. The explosion, for instance - look at it closely - it's a mix of the explosion from the original trailer (the real one), a fireworks display, and some other stock footage.

It was cooked up in the fakery bakery.

Ok, ok, ok, ok...So this has been "proven" fake. If it is fake, I think I understand where they were coming from when they made this. What if, just hear me out. Don't shoot me down this is just nothing.

You all say there is footage from the other trailer in it or something of that ring. What if they camera man and the news reporter picked up dropped camera from the party and wanted to tie it in with theres and show it to us all. But during the Reporters interview as it shows during the end, the monster came close to them and they had to book it. So they were only able to string in some parts of booth footage together in a hurry. Resulting in a piss poor news report.

Eh, just thought about it. Nothing to dwell on. But I would make a fake video like that. I think o.o;;

Another possible mitigating factor might be that the teaser was in the early stages of being edited (i.e. not the finished product), or just one of a number of trailer concepts or mockups. Basically, just something someone picked up off the (virtual) cutting room floor.

Not meant as an argument in favor really. I've personally decided to hold out for a definitive "gotcha!" or cease and desist, cause it's good stuff regardless.

I'm happy to see this second spoof trailer (using music from 28 Days Later...), not because it's even close to convincing, but because it means that we will have actual categories/competition when it comes time to dole out the Cheesies Smile

I think there's gotta be some sort of anti-cloverfield society that decided to get together and make fake trailers and stuff to try to mess with us (or at least, the younger, more naive fans). maybe they even have their own forum, lol.
