Ok... so back in The Lost Experience last year, I found that some of the info was gained by gamers actually interacting with the game creators.... [e.g. hanso foundation, apollo candy, mittlwork, lost ninja, etc.]. If they hadn't of done this, the games would have not progressed (or taken longer to do so). Second thing..... earlier this month, a guy over on cloverfieldnews or cloverfieldclues (cant remember which one) messaged one of the characters on myspace...., and got an actual response- people are obviously there to interact with

So here's my plan.... instead of waitin around for things to be discovered like I've been doin, I'm gonna try and get into it. I'm about to e-mail the following to the taguato email contact (18kagashimadSPLATtagruato.jp):

To Whom it May Concern,

I am somewhat interested in employment opportunities with Tagruato Corp, specifically working with marketing of Slusho! products. On you website you have stated that "A search is on for top marketing professionals who will be tasked with duplicating the drink's Asian popularity in the Western market". How is it possible to become an applicant for these positions? If you can give me contact information for your head of marketing or head of employment, I will send my extended resume to your offices with haste.

I will briefly tell you about myself: I am currently living in New York City, United States of America, in a small apartment in Manhattan. Previously residing in Australia, I have gained a degree in Bachelor and Masters Business Marketing (University of Sydney, 1999). I have had previous experience in marketing international events and products, specifically boating races (for example, I was the chief marketing organiser for the Sydney to Hobart Australian Yacht race [http://www.rolexsydneyhobart.com], as well as international world boat races for several concurrent years [http://www.widmorerace.com] [http://www.microtransat.org]). I have also been involved in the trans-national marketing of specific products and services, including Gannon Car Rentals, "FULL O' NUTS" candy bars [http:\\www.apollocandy.com] and Ripple Potato Chips just to name a few. I am currently just finishing work with an airline company, helping it 'get back on it's feet' after an incident numerous years ago- I can offer you a referral from them about me if it is appropriate.

My current living position being America, I think, would suit your motive to move into the western market appropriately. I would greatly appreciate any opportunity you could give me.

Awaiting your reply,

Jason Mc Gillan

So good plan or no? Remember this site has been around for a while and we haven't noticed it... how much more stuff is already out there that we just haven't made the move to access it? Maybe the big drought of information we've just had is our own fault....

Hey, go for it. Any lead is a good lead at this point. I'm sure some people thought it was silly to message the characters on myspace in the beginning but many had an interaction with them that at least proved to be entertaining.

colbyrook - It's worth a shot - go for it.

And as far as the site being around and us not finding it, I don't think there was any way for us to find it before this latest clue. Searching directly for Tagruato in Google only brings up the restaurant review and discussion since the find. Google most likely has not crawled the site, so even looking for Slusho and Ganu Yoshida wouldn't have found it.

Well, we only found it because of the picture on 1-18-08.com. Which was put up two days ago. So, I'd say we found it on time.

Ah, MrToasty beat me to it.

Yeah I guess so... just thought I'd pose the question.

*btw my name is colby rook, not J. Mc Gillan, and I live in Australia, not Manhattan. Just thought that, along with the lost ty-ins in the e-mail might spark something (as well as similarities to what we know about Rob).

Ha - brief and cynical, yet a humorous and fairly true take on this latest development:
Cloverleaf, JJ Abrams, Viral Marketing…all getting old.

Mentioning the film as "Cloverleaf" is the most hilarious part of that whole article, to me.

colbyrook: Very good idea. The best strategy for us would be a good offense, especially considering people think we're behind. I just can't wait for some n00b to come along and make a thread called "Z0MG!1! $10 GUY FROM TRAILLER IS NAMED JASON McGILLIAN!1!" if this gets us somewhere.

Why it has to be Legit for me is the first lead came from 1-18-08 itself and it you do the google search for "kaitei no mitsu" it comes up with the review with the Tagruato reference. End of story.

I suppose everyone could do their own translation but I trust Lasher as he has been a poster here for a while. That would be the only thing that would keep this from being legit -- a fake translation(which I highly doubt). Someone else should confirm Lashers' tranlation of the word.

Kaitei no --- is fairly easy to prove:
For Kai -- http://www.kanjisite.com/html/start/rhsinfo/r_kaiumi.html
For tei -- http://www.kanjisite.com/html/start/rhsinfo/r_teisoko.html
For no -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_%28kana%29

Even with just that(Kaitei no) -- the review clue will come up:
http://www.google.ca/search?q=Kaitei+no&hl=en&safe=off&start=40&sa=N

mitsu does seem to represent nectar\honey. I just haven't found that last symbol yet. Has anyone else?

But even with Kaitei no which comes right from the 1-18-08 site it quickly leads to the review with the Tagruato reference. So it's legit to me.

{EDIT} Ha... just found the last symbol:
http://www.formosa-translation.com/chinese/h/hh70.html

I'm bumping this cause I edited so many times.

So here it is-- a step by step translation of "kaitei no mitsu". I don't know how Lasher got it but I had to do it for myself after a few people were distrusting the translation.

If the blue oven mitt fits it must be legit. Smile
