IRIS Gamerpic Code Request

Hello, new member here. I love ARGs (especially IRIS), and thought it was about time I signed-up. Great board, by the way.

Anyway; to the point. I participated big-time in the IRIS ARG, but I never was able to unlock a server (I was too slow Sad ), so I could never get any swag. I would like something to show for participating/being a part of the IRIS ARG, so I've been frantically searching for someone with an extra IRIS gamerpic code. Does anyone here have an extra they'd be willing to let go of for a fellow Halo fanatic, or knows someone that would be willing to give theirs away?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. If someone does find me a code, I will try make it worth your while. Smile

I'd love to contribute, since I got two packages, but only one of them had a code. ...of course, I used that one. Sorry!

Thank you anyway. Smile

Although, if you see anyone else willing to give-up their code, could you please let me know? I'll be on the look-out for one of these 'til the end of time. Laughing

MS should email winners of the 3 remaining servers codes to get these. It would still be a prize. I just feel I contributed a ton and am kinda bitter about them not sending out the remaining server prizes.

I thought it was a bad move on their part to not notify any of the people who helped unlock the remaining 3 servers. I know they have no legal obligation to do so, but I still think some kind of notification would have been nice.

Despite that, I have no doubt you guys will recieve your prizes. Just a feeling I have. Smile

I didn't think it'd come to this, but I am now offering $20USD (via PayPal) for a working Iris Gamerpic redempton code. I know, I know, it may seem a little crazy, but now you can see how much I want it. Smile

Did they make any announcement that they weren't giving out prizes to the remaining servers?

I'm surprised that people aren't a bit more upset or taking action about getting the stuff that was promised to them. Or at least seemed to be promised as the people who opened the first two servers got their stuff. I know that the players of this game are pretty well organized, maybe you could do a mass emailing and ask for answers?

I helped open up server 2, but I'm from the UK... we never got packages sent :/

I just let it slide though, I was happy to be able to play the game Laughing

This has been mentioned on a few forums before, I've noticed, but I don't think anyone has taken it the step further. I think a mass e-mail would be effective.

the question is, who do we email?

A number of us have interacted with various MS and Bungie reps, most of whom either had no idea what we were talking about, or had heard of it but had no answers... you'd think Iris was some top secret internal project that only a handful of people knew about and never talked about... it was internal, and not widespread, but it's just ridiculous how little information people have.

And I think the issue is that no one wants to go through all the sleuthing and networking required to get to the people who were involved. We need someone on the inside. =P

We have people on the inside who can at least give us names of people on the inside to contact. There are MS employees who work here, we can always reach Frankie if needed ( I can call in a couple of favors for that one) but I'm not sure that Frankie can help here.

At the very least, we could email the PR people for Microsoft and Bungie. I think that including a linked image of the internal report we have about the game would help. Also, didn't that report mention some names of the internal people behind the promotion?

C'mon guys we're ARGers...think of this as a puzzle to be solved. Sleuthing we can do. We can do this.

Huzzah.

In my opinion, the first step would be to find everyone who worked on Iris. One of them will have to have some knowledge of the shipping problem.

Ther has got to be a good reason for the rediculous incompetence, right?

If we could find out the contact info For Aaron Elliot, that would be the best.

He's like our main dude!
