Hmm... well, considering that I'm not very educated on codes, I'm not even sure how exactly to use the Vigenere square forwards, let alone backwards or vertically.

Well, in going along with your "A letter" thing, in the Vigenere square, under the A column and A row, every letter of the alphabet is presented in order.

Hahah, I think the PM is having too much fun torturing us for him/her to post a hint that actually makes sense.

I don't think that the book is called Hope, but I see now how she got that answer, and it was, indeed, "using the Vigenere diagram in another way." I think that was the way we were supposed to solve it, after all, it makes sense.

Now, look what happens if we do this on the Vigenere square.



Miyar was giving us a hint on how to solve it the whole time! All Sylvia did was apply this to the two-lines in step 4. But, there were two errors. The letters H and O would have corrected them. H and O happen to be the beginning of the word HOPE, which is in the first word search AND the answer to "What do you lose if you can't lose pain?"

She might have taken the HOPE idea from you, but the game is supposed to be played as a group effort.

Before, I said I thought there must be an action. The action must be pulling something!

"Give up in the middle" has me thinking.. if I apply that line to our code, and cross reference it with the "Vigenere Square" hints weve been getting, Im stating to think that "Give up in the middle" could mean to split the two lines... as in the first line goes Horizontally across the top of the VS, and the second line goes Vertically.

EDIT: I think youre rigth Gia.. but as for the whole "Game being played as a whole"... if that were true, shed have told us how SHE managed to come to that conclusion.. and maybe its just me but if i take something from someone elses idea, i always credit them.. common courtesy..
