Compare these images. The first is the "loading" screen from red-monday.com.

The second is from the Wikipedia article on "Bash."

Compare the times especially.

Just thought that was interesting.

EDIT: It seems as though JC's mailbox is full.

Running the IP gives us some interesting results... including a name. I'll let you find that out for yourself.

Spysect, I appreciate your honesty in identifying yourself... If interested, I have a special assignment for you.... but it may separateyou some from your other colleagues... don't worry, I won't ask you tobetray them (believe it or not we're all on the same side here), but ifthey find out you're working for me... they may ostracize you.

Honesty?

"Honesty in identifying yourself"? What did you tell him?

I got the same basic email as everyone else. But I had signed my email TRF, and he is curious as to what that stands for. Simple. It is my handle.

"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

StarKnight

Now I understand the "StarKnight" thing.

Whoever posted that wasn't trying to be cryptic; StarKnight is listed as the registrant on Whois:

http://www.whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=red-monday&tld=com

What does that mean?

Have no idea what that is meant by that...

Any way my little update...

Got an email from our dear friend and it said,
Quote:
Nereus, I've heard stories that this individual is actually a rather easygoing, peaceful guy. But at least one source on the web has claimed that this individual once challenged the throne for a position of power. Can you collaborate this (or the first) with any other sources?
So I looked around and sent a message back saying that he did challenge his father once but of recent his is just chilling in London.

That is all for now.

Yup! That's bash. I use it on a daily basis. It's one of several command line shells for Mac OS X/Linux/Unix (others include sh, zsh, tcsh, ash).

A basic Bash program looks like this, FYI:

#!/bin/bash
read text
echo "You just typed in $text."
exit 0

All this does is wait for input and then output "You just typed in: [whatever]."

Seems I've been drawn back from another one of my "breaks" by an interesting game. Still trying to catch up on what's gone down, but I wanted to let people know that I was around and intend on participating.

Will do. Glad to have you aboard, the three of you. I am currently waiting for a reply right now from JC. He has been slow to get back to me this pass week. I think he is busy "decoding stuff. Plus he is getting a lot of emails. New email drop comes out tomorrow too.
